Possibly through acquisition or mergers. I think creatively Sony & Insomniac did the right thing in making epic bangers within the timeframe they have rather than going slow & sturdy which WB games & Rocksteady did with Batman. If you include Origins & then Gotham Knights they have made(WB games) 5 mainline games plus massive expansions & the 6th on it’s way in the same universe already. Point he was making was why Sony/Insomniac is scripting the biggest characters & showdowns in such a short(Play)time. Answer is that they have this IP for a very limited time unlike WBgames. They have had the Spider-Man license in movies for so long and Marvel couldnt do anything about it when they wanted Spidey in Avengers and Sony was just not letting it happen. That was the entire deal. Sony & Marvel collaborated for MCU with Marvel getting Spidey in avengers & Sony getting to make joint production for MCU & Spiderverse.
