Looks ugly as f**k,this is not what I had in mind while I was envisioning it. 
 

I hope the character animations,controls & gameplay is not the same.

That was the only one majority of the ppl were interested in & Rockstar knows it well.

I personally don't think the game's visuals have aged very well. Really liking the more cartoony overhaul they've gone for in the remaster. It does a damn good job in making you forget that these games are well over 20 years old.
