Alan sections were my main problem with the game. Alan levels were really poorly design and frustrating imo.

 

Saga sections were fine

I can’t play it. I reached a certain point of no return with her campaign and now this is mandatory

Yes, game will force you to play as Alan after you done with Watery level. You cant skip Alan sections.

I am still at optional investigation section after chapter 2 and it seems enemies are random and not limited, but ammo is. Shotgun is satisfying but since ammo is scarce, there isn't much choice except to not engage. Plus, most of the time, if I encounter an enemy it's much death since running away is not smooth.

I was dodging them and skipping encounters most of the time lol

Yeah. Thinking of doing the same. 

 

If you run away from them, will they leave you alone? I tried but MFs run fast!

Some encounters you can skip but not all

Finished subway chapter and I am done. Not gonna continue and I don't think I'll do it later either. It's a downgrade from first part IMO.

 

Biggest problem I faced is navigating and walking around which I believe is 90% of the game, they rely heavily on environment this and it didn't do much for me. Spent overall 7h into it and got really bored. The only good thing was gunplay, which is few and far in between. Enemy types suck too.

Dude. There is no combat needed. Run past them. 

 

I muster courage to play ahead but that chu... with type writer will be there again and that just stops me.

Try Silent Hill 2 remake or RE 7 and 8. If you intersted in good survival horror games.

How does this game performs on PS5 ? Deluxe Edition is 2200 rs right now on PSN. Big fan of AW1.

Performance wise, it is fine. No lag or framerate drops. It was 1600 Rs last month.

Played Chapter 1 till Bright Falls End.
Looks great…awesome spooky feel.
PSSR at 60fps is doing wonders in motion.

Little bit of film grain is worth the gains.

DF are dumbf***s who are hell bent on discussing still shots.
