Ya jetta is in the list, went to volkswagen showroom, they din't have the TD vechile today, will get it to my place tomorrow. Let's see. I am going to test fluence as well.

Whoever I know who owns a Jetta or a Passat tell me the cars do not behave themselves. There are a lot of problems and many times the cars can't be repaired coz the part is not available. Sounds Skoda-ish but I'd still be careful. They especially cry about the AC conking out.

Maybe they've fixed these issues in the 2012 version.

Also I'd go for the Fiat 500 too, the Abarth. :D

Drove Jetta today and the clutch had issues, maybe cos if the TD car. WTF is wrong with VW they are trying to sell a premium car and they don't even have a proper TD car

Drove cruze again, the turbo lag is very prominent, but the car takes off after that. Also a new model is on the card's with some facelift and more tuned engine. Guess better to wait out 3-4 months.

Skoda is an automatic NO, no matter how good a car is. My manager's Superb was in the garage for 3 weeks, because they din't have parts. Read similar horror stories in Tbhp as well. Car probably is rock solid, but i just don't wanna buy a Skoda.

It sure is.

I guess the guy's dad must have seen too much of TV(that Lambo accident) and must have got traumatized, and decided to sell it off.

The clutch was absoultely fine when i Td'ed the car a few days after it was launched, the car felt good but the interiors were too bland for me.

If it helps make your decision, there is zero lag on the AT version of Cruze, the car rev and gear shift is more stream lined.

AT is for girls my friend :P

Drive in traffic long enough and I'm ready to pull out the gear lever by the end of the day. really, next car has to be auto or bust. Maybe paddle shift just to spice things up, but no frigging clutch pad.

I drive in traffic everyday. Trust me when i tell you, Outer ring road in Bangalore, near Marathahalli, Bangalore is next to hell. I drive an i10, manual shift. I have got used to it. If you aren't too impatient, you can handle manual everyday... And yup, AT is for chicks :P
