godspeed4476
u guys have confused me.. i was thinking that u guys will say AT. I was bit tilted towards the AT. The mileage would be pathetic, manual cruze gives close to 13-14 and i get only 9-10 in my AT cruze and that too when i drive in a conservative manner. Dont expect the AT fortunner to give anything more than 6-7 tht too in good conditions. it would have been OK to get AT for city but as you said its for highways, what difference would AT make? there are very minimum gear shifts as it is on highway running. godspeed4476
Great point there.. Will reconsider on the AT I would say that er consider the fortunner altogether, IMO the fortunner(dont know about the new one) is the least VFM car in the market go for it only if you want it as secondary or 3rd car in the family. achilles
No matter the conditions, I now find shifting gears barbaric. It's crappy, it does not let me enjoy my drive and my music. f**k manual transmission. Highway, city or mountains, I would never buy a MT car. Paddle shifter for those times I want to go a little bit crazy so that's that.
Zeehunter
Guys and suggestion for a Sedan .. Budget upto 12 lakhs .. Could be increased if the car is worth Dad loves Fluidic Verna .. Any other choice for that budget range . As I have my finals in a month , I have no time to check the reviews and comparisons Can anyone of you post the positives and negatives about Verna . And I won't be buying a SUV coz the car will be used mainly for intra city transport
Nemo
well one positive is that verna looks great. other options would be Vento and Manza. having driven both i would say vento has that german quality while manza is more sturdy and spacious. The only downside of the car is its handling past 120 mark, it behaves wobbly and braking at that speed does not inspire much confidence. theneurotoxin
Manual is the only way to go. Thank God most of the autos are manumatic these days. Driving on pure auto transmission is extremely soporific.
