@Gaurav : If I was in your shoes (single guy moving from education to a job while in the US), a Mustang would've been the obvious choice. Go for it.

Oh btw, one of my friends (married dude) went to work in the US for a short while. He leased a Mustang for the few months he was there. The newer models look great, but the older models look really classy.

Yeah, my only concerns are:

1. I have one semester left (going back to Georgia Tech today) and I have to pay off 1 and a half semester's worth of debt / money-my-dad-paid.

2. I don't have a fulltime job fixed up for January onwards, still searching.

3. I looooovvvveeee BMWs, and a Mustang/Camaro pulls me in the opposite direction.

4. The quality of the insides, the boot space... such concerns are in the back of my mind.

I'm probably one of the few car lovers who don't really like the old look and like the new pseudo-retro style better.

For all those who think they will buy a car which is better than the one they can afford now and use a bike or old car this thread should be a lesson for you guys.

Really moving. It is good to be reminded of the realities of life time and again as our lives have become too fast-paced for our own good.

g'rav, M5 is teh winrar, Mustang is just a distraction :P

It's also 3 times more expensive (at nearly a 100k, I might as well go buy a Nissan GT-R) than a Mustang  It'll take me quite a few years to earn that much, but in any case I'll just lease a car never buy outright as long as I'm here.

Even the M3 is more than twice the price of a Mustang.

I'll probably end up getting something sensible but boring (relatively speaking) like an Acura TL (American Honda).

Agreed bro... They don't own cars yet and still say they'll buy awesome cars. When they provide for people things will definitely change.

Sent using a pen and paper.

You, sir are suffering from brain diarrhea.

You imagine things and blurt them out.

And who the bloody phuck told you I dont own a car.

I do, and its a better car than yours.
