egg man
Just got my first servicing done for my bike (Yamaha FZ-S) ! Every thing is great, except that the front brake feels much more softer now than before! It scares me a little while riding. Is it normal and will the brakes be back to normal after few kms. (Already rode 28 km after servicing).
Iceman™
Soft you mean you can pull a lever little bit more ?
egg man
Hi By soft I means it's not as powerful as before. It takes a little more distance to stop the bike and not as quick as before. Seems like the disc isn't working properly. Someone told me it's normal for the disc to not work properly for 40-50 km after oil change. I'm not sure though. It's very scary to travel now. Hopefully it comes back to it's former self in few more kms. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3
Iceman™
it is normal if your lever is a bit soft check for the brake oil too And the brakes will work fine as before if you are on a long ride say 10kms or so

But I feel that the breaks have lost a little power. It used to stop at much shorter distance before, now it takes few more inches. Kinda scary when a car changes lanes. Go to your service centre and ask about the same, or do a TD of another FZ to check that out. egg man brakes * :giggle:/>
godspeed4476
Just abused and negotiated with General motor guys as well as people at Bajaj allianz and saved myself a good amount of money.
