I have a 3 month old FZ-S. Today I met with a small accident and my bike fell of on the left side.
Luckily no injury . Here's a list of damage to bike:

1) The crash-guard is a bit loose now.
2) The left foot pedal doesn't go up now. I think the spring got broken.

3)The highlighted part of the 2zegz6t.jpgside stand is a bit bent. This combined with the left foot rest not going up is a bit annoying.

Luckily no scratch or anything.
Now my question is:

My next free service is on March 26th. So should I:

1) Get these issues fixed from Authorized SVC on the scheduled date?
2) Get it fixed from the SVC tomorrow?
or
3) Get it fixed from a local mechanic ? If yes,, will it void warranty ?

And how much will these things cost?

It's my first bike so I have no idea about these things :(

Not sure, even if it is a great car, it is not something that drives volumes.

Still, now, not even a single Skoda sells well na, except Rapid. So, the only next car which may sell good enough numbers is Octavia.

Good to hear that you're safe :) Your FZ and mine are both of almost the same age.March 26th is your 2nd/2500km service?

I dont think reparing the external stuff like crash-guard and all will void warranty. One doubt. The left foot-rest will remain only at the bottom position naEven if we pull it upwards, i will automatically go down na? So, why is that an issue to you ?

Yup..The 2nd service.I think it's 3k one not 2.5k

And ya..the footrest remains only at bottom. It's not an issue but still it annoys a bit because the bike doesn't feel perfect anymore. The right one is fine.

Mate,

Yes Press day had 30 guys, on Friday, but Saturday and Sunday was Invite only drives and best is only about 8 guys when Me and Wife went. Honestly got so lost in the Track that I pretty much let everyone have a few laps before I got on, and once in the car I forgot that I dislike the Gallardo, perhaps would least be concerned even if it was a Swift.

Amazing stuff Lamborghini has done, Ferrari has it too in Abu Dhabi soon.

Regards,

Lucky you zelda... :samui:

And yea Octavia is the last hope that skoda has to survive in india. IMO all their cars are struggling to make their mark in india.. Only octavia and laura were successful ones.. I really hope they price it reasonable.. If Its around 13-14L then it will be my next car :P

And I would say fabia and rapid aren't doing that bad themselves, considering they've competition from their parent company itself. I would say only the Yeti was a flop. And considering their crappy service strategy, they're doing extremely well.

don't think Fabia is doing much business, but Rapid is definitely faring well.

yup Skoda is just above HM and Fiat: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian-car-scene/133186-february-2013-indian-car-sales-figures-analysis.html

3, yes.

Sport Line with the sport suspension, slight body mods, performance tires and what not. Plus added some cool sh*t like that automatic parking assistant and some custom leather colors to match the car's color and interior trim. Of course, navigation, rear view camera were added as extra options, as well as those signature Xenon headlamps as agains the base halogens.

With tax, a direct conversion would be upwards of 30 Lakh INR (I really don't want to give the exact number) but that's hardly a fair conversion since prices differ a lot here and there. Also I've been bargaining hard and playing dealers against each other to get a better deal than the price I actually quoted :D
