Fiat makes good cars but the big problem again is service. And this time they've tied up with Tata. Whom do you think Tata will give more preference to - their own cars or Fiat cars? I drive by a Tata showroom everyday for office and the Fiat cars are all standing outside on display while the Tata cars are inside. I love Fiat engineering - they're one of the best, but their distribution / service model sucks.

My perception of Brand Fiat has changed significantly now. My father has been a Fiat loyalist from the start we had 2 Fiat Padmini's b4 and have Palio and Siena right at present only peugeot and civic are the Non-fiat cars with us (peugeot was distributed by Fiat in india). But the body of both Palio and Siena has started to catch rust, and its not a tiny-weeny spot, the whole body of Siena has corroded and Palio has started to show same signs. Me thinks the quality of iron used for manufacturing is very poor. its almost like a HR iron, lol. My dad has taken a vow not to purchase any more fiat's now :wOOtjumpy:

I too own a 2007 Pulsar 220 Fi but I wasn't impressed by the R15. From what I've heard its got better build quality but I just didn't like the puny tires or the 17bhp engine. I know power to weight ratio is good but I still think the bike could do with 20+bhp.

My friend wanted to buy the FZ-16 but it seems that it will be phased out in a couple of months and replaced by the Fazer (no pun intended).

Last I heard the Ninja was supposed to release sometime in September this year but then we've been waiting for it to launch for a long time now and every time they just delay the launch by 6 months and bump the expected price by 25k

the r15 uses soft compound tires which give more grip than normal tires.... its not as bad as it looks

but yeah, the R15 cudve done with a little fatter rear tire and a little different design at the back.... bhp is not everything

We were thinking about getting a Toyota Corolla altis Limited Edition (the so called "Sport") for its exterior modifications and that beautiful grey colour. But, the interiors and bundled accessories are only equivalent to the G version, not the top end GL. On a few sites its been said that the accessories from the Sport will be available at all Toyota dealerships once the 300 limited edition cars have been sold out. Is that true? Cos we were thinking about getting an Altis GL in September with the bodykit added. Any info that anyone here has regarding this?

During the course of test drives I enquired with Chevrolet dealers here about the new Cruze and most of them said there wasn't any confirmed month for launching it, and that October is just hearsay and not concrete, cos it seems there is no info from GM to the dealers. Some of them didn't even know what the Cruze was. :/

Asked the Mitsubishi dealers here, Also, a friend has a source (a relative of his I believe) that works at the HM plant in Chennai, on the managerial level. He says that the Lancer Evo is coming to India as a CBU by this year end itself supposedly at around 24lakhs. No info regarding a Lancer evo-like looking car though. If what I'm hearing from him is true, I just hope the trimmed down Lancer (based on the Evo) comes here too along the same time....

I own a mitsubishi cedia which I drive personally. Its a gem of a car . But poor marketing by HM means is the result of very few people knowing about this car. People might say that the looks look dated. But to me a black cedia looks awesome. I have many people asking me which car is it when they see it and they think its a very expensive car :)

Coming to Lancer Evo in India, I think Mitsubishi should look after the after sales support first because they lack in that department because of lethargic Hindustan Motors who are still somewhere in their Amby Mode of thinking.

Mitsubishi cars are awesome and great for long run too. Its just the their resale value sucks, but I never look at resale value if I am going to keep a car as Mitsubishi because nothing beats the quality of ride. That feeling is just too good.

We took a test drive of the Cedia Sport earlier this week. Nice handling and all, but somehow for the price (Rs 11.5 lakh or so onroad), I just don't feel we're getting the level of refinement I'd like. Especially the doors and such (from inside) look drab and plain. The lack of small touches like the side mirror turn indicators, retractable mirrors, a better looking dashboard and meters, audio controls on the steering, those climate control knobs look like they're out of an Amby too etc. The external looks again are a bit dated, since its a previous gen Lancer essentially. And though its a good car, it feels more like a replacement for an Accent (I mean I'd buy this to replace my Hyundai accent) but not an upgrade to a bigger sized better car. If only they'd bring in something like the Lancer SE (recently released in the UK) or the Lancer EX (as it is known in Singapore). The Cedia engine could use a bit more power too. Not saying its bad, but so many small small things to think about.

Any answer to this query of mine below??
