^Oh sh*t sorry of course :) They must've started orders long time back. Thats what na, some people just buy it out of hype. I mean, its such a big expense. But yea, if you decide to wait and TD etc etc, u get a waiting period of months. Ritz, Swift etc have such massive wait periods. Maruti bookings are perennially in waiting :)

21 days max is what d dealer promised

I was talkin about the Fortuner dude! No idea about the Cruze. Good impressions btw. Do a writeup when you do a round of the car in T Nagar during Diwali rush :)

Ur rather biased against the cruze

The clutch won't be an issue if u can adapt ur driving style to the car. If a person like me with just 4 years of driving (none of them in a diesel car) can, then anyone can.

Also, i think the people who book far in advance without ever taking a TD, no matter what the brand are either stupid or filthy rich.

^Hahah, u got me wrong dude. I was just kidding, the joke being the heavy traffic in T nagar :dance:, not the car :unsure:.. I was just askin for your impression once you drive it in the city. That's all. Coz if there is too much down shifting required, then you're better off getting an AT of it rite?..

edit: Totally agree on that. Geez, no way would I book any car without atleast TDing it. Hell I had to run around for the finance part a lot before I can even book a car :)

I cannot risk the altis :naughty:..I stay below 100 nowadays :chair:

Me too, below 100 but much faster than my Dad... dropped him once at the Airport and when he called back I was already home with Mum. He was like "this kid is driving too fast... How the hell did you make it that far so quick?".

Did do a 110 two days back though - on the Airport flyover. It was totally empty somehow over the entire length of the flyover. I usually do that sort of speeding only once or twice a year. But even if i speed I stay in the same lane. These days idiots think the right line is the lane to go slow in. Hate it when people do that.

EDIT: As for driving an auto gear, a few years I had driven a BMW M5 (e60 I think) in auto mode once (I know it isn't a true automatic) in Wellingborough in the UK for a kilometre or two. The car belonged to my dad's college friend who's settled there. Had to go slow cos I didn't have an international license.

ARSC could you post your impressions of your Cruze TD here?? So that others can see too....

The car is brilliant @ 13.58(top model) on road New Delhi its got everything what you need .

Below is my personal opinion about the car after the test drive.

Things i liked

* The cockitpit is very impressive and easy to use

* Rear sensing(which is not there in civic or altis)

* Sunroof

* The interiors are grey(hate beige interiors)

* Excellent braking

* The car is zippy

* key less entry

* Push Button Start (Simply keep the key in your pocket, depress the clutch and press the button! However, there’s an negative side to this feature. If you start the car and then walk away with the key, the engine will not shut off :devil:

Did not like

* The clutch is little hard

* Turbolag on the start

* The gear Knob

if you guys are planning to buy a civic, altis or laura go and test drive this monster :wOOtjumpy:

There is waiting for 3 weeks if you are buying the car on loan and for cash down customers its 5 days. If you are giving a premium then same day. :exoticdance:

Are you gonna opt for any of the accessories?? Know their prices?? Personally, I'd be interested in the OSRVM Indicators, GPS (yeah my phone has it but still might as well get one packaged with the car), the illuminated sill plates, and all weather footmats.

No accessories brother.. except the basic, i.e. floor mats and ALLOY WHEELSSSSSS..

Apart from that the car is beautiful the way it is...

Will definitely ad a good audio system.. an recommendations?

Nope, I thought the audio system on the Cruze was good enough as is.

Can't predict anything though regarding a buy, my dad might jump towards the Altis GL at the last minute even now :eyebrow:

Stock music systems are never good. Unless you're getting a 30l+ car.

@Grajasekar

Get your audio done at Technokrat. I know its expensive, but they're good and one of the few I know here. There is even Speedshop or something near ECR or something. I didn't bother and did mine at tecno. There are good ones at Bangalore, but i could't wait.

Cruze is looking quite good. Wish they'd release the petrol sooner. My family friends are also looking to buy a car and I've advised em to wait till the petrol comes out

I didn't mean awesome, I said good. Its better than most packaged audio systems. All this upgrading audio after getting the car stuff my dad won't do. He's one camper who's sh*t scared about messing around with something that's working (he's a bit paranoid about everything - he doesn't even do online bank transfers with relatives LOL). It would be different if I was the one earning but then I'm just in college and he pulls the shots. Besides the time spent in the car to really appreciate car audio is a bit low. And he only listens to 104.8 FM whenever he drives. I'm the only one who pops something in to the aux port or a CD.

ARSC, its not like we haven't done a small TD already (within that compound - plenty of space and turns). The TD next week will happen for sure. But he's apprehensive about GM's A.S.S and the car's slight lack of space in the back and the hard clutch. And now he wants to check out the Altis GL again. :doh:
