For 20L jetta is more reliable but octavia is a better drive. Waiting periods are a put off for octavia. In 30L X1 is good but GLA looks better although space is cramped. Had been test driving vehicles from various price brackets n classes. No definite date to buy in mind, but family seems to b liking any spacious thing they sit in; xuv, storme, fortuner n even innova (dont like this fr obvious reasons). Funny but wife feels nausea when she sits in backseats of sedans, maybe its mental ...dont know. So anything sedan...ish gets low points. Bahut problem hai. When i think from affordable build quality perspective, lagta hai storme is best. But is it? Xuv is full vfm, but sometimes it doesnt get to me. Fortuner ke liye 30k is too much. Whereas fortuner u might feel is bit overpriced but its the best car upto 30L. It has completed 2 years and still feels like new, No niggles nothing at all (Service cost is around 5-6k) ...Where as XUV is just 8 months old and has visited the Workshop couple of times (Screen Malfunction, Projector Light malfunction, couple of other niggles i dont remember) .. If i am in your place i would go for Fortuner. IF you dont mind its big size and Ok with its Low FE then just go for it.. You won't regret this decision believe me IMO just avoid skoda-VW-Merc and all cos the service costs will really hurt.. But if you really want to go for badge then Q3 is best of the lot (Q3-GLA-X1). Hmmm. The toyota sales guy too mentioned the service / maintenance point. Fortuner kitna deti hai? 8-10 kmpl? Folks, i test drove the ninja 10r and 14r today. Kya brutal machines hai bc!!!!! Am in seventh heaven. 14r despite its humongous size was so comfy n handling was so intuitive that i felt i was handling some 100cc bike. Traction control was kept on full intrusion fr obvious reasons. Test drive was in bajaj showroom premises (they dont let ppl ride em out on roads), so couldnt get the bikes to stretch its legs. 10r pulls like wooahhh! Felt i'll get thrown back. Those bikes are made to pump up ur adrenaline. The store guys bring the bikes frm basement to ground floor on ramp fr test drive. When they got the 2 together, sensory overload hua.
