Great looking ORVM's there. Do the turn indicators light up when signalled?

Also u are pretty brave in trying these mods on a VW who is known to be quite finicky with warranty.

yes they do light up, ya VW can say no to warranty, but who cares I don't think I will need them till I want an over the shelf spare. Even my first servicing will be done outside. Anyway in 2 months I will be remapping the ecu, so VW won't want to even look me in the eye to talk anything after that[emoji14]

So not worried about the DSG issues?

Na seems the synthetic oil change has fixed it for good, have not read much on the team bhp as well, who might have reported it. Plus they can only deny my electrical warranty not anything related to gearbox, just in case.

Thinking of putting these alloys next.

Excellent choice. Will definitely look much better than the stock ones. Even I was looking for an AT sedan just a couple of weeks before. Did TD almost all in my budget. Wanted to go for Vento Tsi but the DSG niggles held me back. Also since was not getting a good value for my Rapid, decided to postpone the decision for next year.

Till then will keenly follow ur posts as well as T-bhp.

Yeah..will be visiting Auto Expo as well. But not very hopeful as after driving Rapid its very difficult to drive the Japs or the Koreans.

Yup I can relate, I had been driving the city and totally loved it, until I drove the Vento, well it is not fair to compare a recent car with almost a 5 yr old car, but still Germans have won me over.

Koreans are anyway all bling no substance. An option for yiu could be to add a second car in your stable with the Ameo while holding on to your rapid, ofcourse if the budget allows.

Well I already have a 2 year old i10 AT as a second drive. Its the one that has been pushing me towards a 2nd AT. My running is not much hence will be going for Petrol AT.

Why not sell the i10 and get the Polo Gt, that is a hoot to drive, btw the three launches this year from VW

1. Ameo

2. Polo GTI

3. Tiguan.

i10 is driven by my wife. Regarding the launches..GTi seems out of budget, Ameo might be interesting, but Tiguan has definitely has me hooked. If they launch a AT version in less than 15 lacs then I m game.

GT, GTI yet to be launched. In bangalore it comes to 10.5+, but the road tax is insane in bangalore.

Na don't think so, they will be reaching jetta and superb AT territory, won't work at all. Sweet spot would be around 15-17.5 lacs Edited by AtheK

Let's hope for the best. I wish they plonk the same engine in Vento as well. If not 1.8 then at least a 1.4

Sent from my GT-I9500 using Tapatalk

Very tough, even jetta does not get the 1.4 tsi with DsG, if it comes to that, jetta will get it before vento
