hussain
I just recently came into a little money and I want to spend some of it on my bullet 500 desert storm. Does anyone here know what kind of things I should look at ? I was thinking about painting all the chrome parts matte black, including the spokes. How much would that cost? In pune. hussain
I was also thinking about upgrading the brakes as I never feel confident with them.
goDofWar_skr
As part of all these pre-gst offers, I had booked a grand i10 asta on Saturday from Trident Hyundai, KR Puram in Bangalore.. I was quoted around 7.38L on road and extra 15k for accessories.. Today my friend inquired about the same car in Advaith Hyundai, Bellandur area and there they quoted him 7.30L including all the accessories I had opted + few additional worth more than 17k in the same 7.30L quote.. How should I go about things now? Shall I cancel my booking? Need expert's advice here.. tagging @AtheK

For the car loan, just talk to the bank about this whether the price change can be applied, so that you can talk to the showroom with confidence when the bank would support you.. No experience in this but for that situation feels the right thing to do...

Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk Yes today being a holiday, the car is not gone for registration yet and the loan is not disbursed as they had told me that I had to visit the SBI branch to sign the papers one last time.. I will then go down to the showroom and talk to the sales guy again.. I'm surprised that there can be such a huge difference between dealers in the same location.. goDofWar_skr
After a lot of further discussions and negotiations they finally agreed to reduce the quoted price by almost 9.5k.. Still I could have got a better price at Advaith by 3~4k.. But I felt it was not worth the hassle to go through booking cancellation & paper work again for such a small difference.. Final price for the 2017 Grand i10 Asta with the following accessories comes to 7.42L on road :- 1 yr extended warranty - 4.8k Hyundai Seat covers - 7k Floor Lamination - 7k Door floor scuffs - 600 Door protector - 500 Basic floor mats & Mud flaps Car cover - 1200 Under body rust protection (with 5 yr warranty) - 4800 1 layer of teflon coating The salesperson was seeming distraught during today's negotiations.. I think his manager must have scolded him or something.. Hope he doesn't screw up anything in the future.. I tried to feel bad for him but couldn't though, since last time he was so reluctant to even reduce 500 in the accessories quote but today ended up in reducing 9.5k almost.. Yes, but read in some ownership reviews that they are just LED parking lights(?) and are too dim to be seen in daylight, so can;t be called DRL's and hence the confusion//

Pacifier
So, i wanted to check out Automatic cars this month (hatchback preferably since wifey might end up using it more) I did a Test drive on JAZZ couple of weeks and i liked the space, the paddle shifts and the CVT engine performance. It was slow to start but didn't feel much jerks during gear shifts. It sucks that JAZZ Auto high end is just the "V" model and not the typical high end of honda "VX". So it does miss on one some features available in Manual models' high end. Cut to today, for some crazy reason, i ended up test driving POLO GT TSI even though i didn't want to get polo for the less leg room scenario(real reason - wifey didn't want to get it). Boy o boy, this is how auto transmission should feel. Sportz mode is a bliss!. Didn't feel any lag and it was just listening to your command perfectly. It was a short and exciting test drive. Good news is that there is an offer running on VW Vento models and getting ~70K discount. So the Highline plus in Vento TSI is coming around 14.15L (With LED headlights). There is also a Highline model that would come for around 13L i think but the showroom guy is saying that Highline variant is no longer available and he will check and get back. Assuming there wouldn't be much of a difference in ride quality if i go for VENTO TSI instead of POLO GT TSI as they both are having same engine performance.(I know extra weight of vento might hurt but shouldn't hurt more i hope) Honda City CVT V is another option but yet to test drive. Seems like it would be a showdown between City and Vento
AtheK
Lol I have said this before once you test drive Polo GT, there is no going back to any automatic. All of them are wah behind. I ended up buying vento for the same reason. Polo though feels a hoot to drive, will shortly go for a remap soon which will bump the power to 128 bhp and torque to around 210, that shoukd make vento drive like Polo. bowser
You didn't feel jerks during gear shifts in Jazz CVT because there really aren't any gears! CVT is Continuously Variable Transmission and provides a smooth drive at the cost of performance. The quality and build of VW cars is absolutely amazing. If you go for the Vento make sure you get the longest warranty possible because repair costs will be on the higher side.

I have a 4 year warranty, mainly to cover myself from DSG.
