It's a nexus on pre-owned car, by now almost all dealers know your car is on sale. They will all quote almost same price.

Every dealer around me, Maruti, Honda, Hyundai all quoted me exactly same price

I even went one after the other but lol. Anyway should be able to finalise over this weekend.

The car number goes on whatsapp group followed by quoted price.

Yeah I'm not fussy. Getting 1.2L for an 11 year old Dzire is pretty decent imo, we took very good care of the car.

Yes showroom method will be very hassle free, but just wondering if I can get more anywhere else. Wouldn't say no to extra cash.

Websites like cars24 and stuff, don't they buy it directly off you, or do I need to find a buyer and do all that?

In that case, I'd much rather go the showroom route.

Don't go for cars24. Not a good experience. I sold my old cars locally because I always get better price than these exchange deals. I have used Olx as well but couple of buyers wanted to meet at the place they want so I gave them the bird

What is the max limit for number of months we can use our Vehicle in another state?

Due to COVID, I travelled in my vehicle from Telangana to Andhra and I am here since 4 months.  So wondering if I can get stopped here.

Although since both states were ONE in the past , hence I doubt I will be questioned but just checking what is the general norm PAN India.

Need a Car suggestion for my father-in-law, who is 61+ and currently driving Wagon R.

The options are very limited due to limited parking space in current apartment and he is very much used to Maruti brand but open to try out Hyundai / other service friendly brands.

I am trying to push him to get a automatic but he is feeling getting an automatic is "more" work and that he needs to "learn". But that is another topic.

Primary criteria seems to be seating position.  Both my in-laws are very much used to wagorR's  tall boy seating posture. Is there any other hatchback offering similar or close enough posture?

I was recommending grand i10 nios automatic an year back and it was almost finalized(pre-covid) and the purchase got pushed out and they didn't find a need to upgrade during this covid times.

Now they are planning in next few months, So i am thinking it would be either wagonR / grand i10 nios if they are ok with its seating. (is AMT in wagonR decent?). Any others worth checking out?

Yes. I had this in mind too but i felt it might be longer for their current apartment parking space.  Will recheck the dimensions and consider. The automatic variant is also CVT , so should be lot better than AMT.

You can rule out baleno due to 2 things.. Its almost 4m in length so wont fit in tight parking spaces.
I own a Gi10 and recently been driving the baleno at my in law's. The baleno definitely feels more punchy and light weight compared to the Gi10. But its a PITA while parking it in our tight parking space and its driver seating position is a lot lower than the Gi10. You cant see much of the road which is nearer to you compared to the Gi10.

Best will be to take your father in law for a test drive in each of the car and then decide.

I think the new Nios is providing the infotainment system (with android integration) in lower variants too which is very good if you use maps often. That is one thing I'm missing in the baleno since only the top variant had the infotainment system.

I have the zeta model (1 less than top) and it has the smartplay infotainment system.

Seat positioning yes he'll have to check but my variant has adjustable seat height so that pretty much solves the issue.

Yes.. My in law's have the delta variant so just the basic FM radio and music player. Also no seat height adjustment.

Whereas when we were looking at the nios, there was this edition called Magna corporate which sits between the Magna & sportz variant but still has the infotainment system.

Yeah, but I think he is looking at CVT which will anyway be loaded I think.

I've not tried parking it in tight spaces so can't comment on that aspect.

I have eerily similar requirements.

Dad, 61,  drives a Wagon R  - need to update given it is reaching ~15 years in Delhi  and we are now looking for an automatic. My current parking space is cramped and can only fit cars around 3.6-3.7 M.

I did a detailed analysis, took him to test drive and all that sh*t. Wagon R is shitty in AMT. Very jerky and vibrations are there. Same case for Tiago although it looks great and features are way more than others.

Absolutely loved the Grand i10 nios and feel it to be the best. Smooth AF AMT. But it won't fit too. Hence now would go with it's smaller sister Santro AMT. Same smooth and refined AMT. Lacks power but good enough for city. Waiting for upcoming Hyundai AX1 and will make a decision by end of year.

If anyone is interested for a read on the 959.

Mark 13 - My Ducati Panigale 959

Very good read.

When I was younger, around 10-12yrs range, I was obsessed with bikes. Moto GP was the only thing I used to watch. Over the years I have turned more towards 4 wheelers and F1 but still bikes speak to my heart.

Only question is how much 959 costs even in the used market space? I plan to owe something like this one day and will need to start thinking about finances.
