playstation
Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Launched in India!Mercedes-Benz India limited has launched the SLS AMG supercar in India. Incidentally, India is one of the first markets to receive the right hand drive version of the SLS AMG, which goes to show that this market is truly now a world class affair. It takes more than just a dream to launch a modern classic, however when AMG, the performance brand of Mercedes-Benz, decided to showcase their tuning skills not just on an existing model, but on a whole new car where their inputs would be involved from ground up, the result had to be legendary from day one. The SLS AMG is the result of these efforts and the car borrows from the racing heritage of Mercedes-Benz to ensure that it is one piece of classic metal that not only has the show but also the go. Powering the SLS AMG is a finely tuned 6.3-litre V8 engine that develops 571 hp at 6800 rpm and churns out a gut wrenching 650Nm of torque at just 4750 rpm and is mated to an AMG speedshift DCT-7 speed sports transmission, which incidentally makes the SLS AMG one of the most powerful sports cars in its segment. With a power-to-weight ratio of 2.84 kg/hp, thanks to the low weight of the car, the SLS AMG is able to catapult from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, and has an electronically limited top speed of 317 km/h! With great power comes great responsibility, so when you look at the need to bring this rocket to a safe stop, Mercedes-Benz AMG has included a three stage ESP system to avoid traction loss and yes, as you might have guessed, the SLS AMG does feature ceramic composition high performance brakes, which can handle the halt! Solitaire
Karizma.. uggghhh.. refurbished rubbish recycled repeatedly right (ran out of r-words) from its inception. Ninja looks better if you can afford it. The r-15 seems to have such a low stance, atleast from seeing friends who ride it. Disclaimer: I'm strictly a car-person, I do NOT know how to ride non-auto-geared bikes cos I've never had anyone to teach me, so I can't comment on performance blah blah... Solitaire
Gah, bday gift worth 3 lacs. Where are the days when people got cricket bats and action figures as gifts I got GOW3 as my birthday gift this year. .. . That and MW2 which came under the same quote. Most expensive gift ever would have to be both Dad's old cars .. but then it still stays in the family.. so not really a gift Damn if I ever learn to ride a bike.. can't for the life of me find someone to teach me. And my cousin who had one sold it just a year before I started riding two wheelers.
