They're known to fleece customers with the exorbitant prices for the spare parts (Skoka isn't exactly a premium brand so they cannot command such prices) Secondly, there have been many cases of malpractices by authorized Skoda dealers in Mumbai and Delhi. Like installing fake spares etc. The cars themselves are pretty fantastic. The Laura diesel is a stonker of an engine. Fabia is meh IMO. 3 cylinder engine and the diesel engine sounded like a tractor. The car failed in India coz of its pricing (just like how the jazz failed). Although you might love the car and your mileage may vary when it comes to experience with your dealer. I'm not generalizing, but this image has hurt skoda a bit. You shouldnt be considering these imho. Linea - good looks , tjet engine is awesome . Interiors are not so good , cheap plasticky kind. SX4 - good car , a*s is very good . Too common though.
