I faced the 3rd boss two times and I have no idea how to evade her attacks. Barely scraped through to phase 2 which was easier than phase 1 but still died to her.

Yeah, I think I've defeated her thrice now and I still don't entirely know how to evade her attacks

There is this one combo of hers which goes Low-High-Low-High, and it's probably the easiest to evade. I try to barge in during that combo, evade, and then get my counter-attack in.

The 2nd phase is definitely much easier and much more predictable.

I have not really used the elevator shortcut yet. Just exploring the level for now.

Just a tip: Don't take the elevator directly from the atrium because you'll miss a shrine on the third floor. Take the stairs up to that floor, use the shrine, and then take the elevator from there.

This is my favourite level yet. A good variety of enemies, cool sequences, destructible environments, stunning graphics, this level has it all.

Yup, it's my favourite too. The next two levels are nowhere near as good IMO (especially the fourth one which feels weirdly bland and uninspired).

Currently getting the crap beaten out of me by the final boss btw :samui:

So for people having difficulty with phase 1 of boss 3 aka the artist, take the baseball bat from the guy you encounter at the starting of the level and go to the boss, now you can block any attack at the cost of structure which you can replenish when you maintain some distance, it helps if you have invested in weapon durability. Also if the weapon breaks then you just need to maintain a distance where her attack is just out of range, and wait for her lunge attack and strike her.

Finished the game (at age 56 :fear1:) with what I'm guessing is the bad ending because I killed all the bosses instead of sparing them.

Absolutely loved it! I think this is pretty much THE definitive martial arts beat 'em up out there and an early GOTY contender for sure.

I was surprised by how good the progression system really is. There's a nice synergy between the aging, the death counter, and the upgrade systems that makes you want to replay the limited number of levels over and over, striving for the best run possible. Of course, all that would've been nothing if it wasn't held together by this game's fun, deep, and addictive combat. I've completed multiple runs of each level and I still feel like there's a lot left to experiment and learn.

The only real complaint I have is the janky-a*s camera which completely blocks your view in corners and cramped areas. This leads to some very unfair deaths and can get quite frustrating at times. But you kinda do learn to live with it as the game goes on.

Other than that though, I had an absolute blast with this one, and even after having completed it, I don't think I'm done with it yet.

Heavy spoilers but fun watch. At the start he's getting smacked by the bosses and towards the end of the video just dodging and parrying everything like Jackie Chan. Wax on. Wax off.

Yeah, I love how most of the bosses seem almost impossible to beat at first, but after a few attempts you pretty much go from this....

Agree completely, the bosses may seem very difficulty but they all have certain kinks in the armour which one can exploit. Definitely a great game, I will try to spare them in my next run

Beat the first two bosses deathless. It’s all about patience, timing and understanding of attack patterns.

The mark of a well designed game. Bosses that seemed impossible at first becomes a cakewalk without having to resort to a stat boosting level up mechanic.

So I platinumed Sifu, what a great and wonderful game. Truly masterpiece in my opinion.

Awesome, dude! Congrats!

Was thinking of doing the same, but the shitty EGS achievements aren't working right now. It still says I have 0 achievements unlocked :|
