And this guy works for the commission?

At this point the EU commission should just do a survey of who has what consolein their organization, and if they own either, they should not be part of the investigation

"To clarify: I am not involved in the assessment of the merger and don't even work in the department dealing with mergers. As is clear from my profile my comments are personal and not a Commission position, whose decision will be taken on the basis of the facts and the law."

10 years? A few weeks ago it was “as long as playstation exists”

maybe MS thinks PS will cease to exist in a decade

There's a difference between a contract and things said verbally. It's common sense (I guess not) that no company will have an indefinite contract.

PS - The last contract term offered was 3 years.

I think the main concern is not more, its all about day one games on gamepass that sony cant compete with .

Next sony is going to cry about blocking cod on Gamepass.

I hope they cry more and get the deal significantly delayed and bottleneck any future MS takeover of other established IPs since MS don’t have the creative vision to build their own

If this goes through i doubt they are buying a big publisher again , they will probably look at independent studios.

If it doesnt then maybe smaller publishers around 5-15 billion range which can pass without much scrutiny.

So you want call of duty on Gamepass soon and also want the deal to be delayed .

The more this drags on the more it seems like Phil should just keep his mouth shut.

And thought Jim was wasting time trying to block this deal, but seems like it's working.

All this drama just shows how big of a brand "Call Of Duty" has come, crap....

True!! Unfortunately, I think CoD has become like FIFA. People will buy the machines just to play CoD and only CoD and nothing else - especially in US. In that sense, Jim Ryan desperately trying to block the deal makes sense. Even putting CoD on Gamepass will ensure that a significant market departs from Playstation.
