@@di
They may not be in a good condition. The books have been packed in a box from a long time. I have to bring the box down from storage area. If you still want it, I have no issues. I will check the condition of these books. Also, will list down the name of books and you can let me know what all you want. It might take some time though. But looking at your love for reading, I think you might have read everything. me too !! pls

Elessar
I've had the touch based kindle for nearly an year now and absolutely love it. No complaints. In fact, I've hardly read a paper based book since then. The version that is available in India is one with buttons for page turning, I believe, which should be fine too. The latest line up of Kindle, the paperwhite, has a built in light, while older versions don't. Look it up at Amazon. If you have any chance of getting it from the US, then that should be the best option. Otherwise, go for local shop as desired.

b!T
Guys, I am thinking of buying a kindle. I just want a device for reading purpose and nothing else ( as in I do not want a tablet). IS the original bare bones kindle good enough? It's available for around 6.3k on ebay ( imported version) and for 7k on croma ( which is offering 1 year warranty). Which version should I go for? Anybody here having a kindle plz help. Thanks in advance. Kindle hardware is very reliable. I am using Kindle keyboard one for last 2 years or so. My sister is using Kindle touch and without any complaints. I think go for the paperwhite one because the difference is only 2K. Edited April 30, 2013 by R@vEn

Nemo
copying from movies thread. Guys. Tinker tailor soldier spy. book first or the movie, what to pick ? i know written word almost everytime beats the image on screen, but it has got a pretty sweet cast. i am definately going to do both, now that i have come to know it is about spy craft (just the basic outline from the trailer, not daft as to read spoilers), just unsure where to start first. egg man
Should I buy a 2nd hand Kindle Fire 2 ( which I am geting for 5.5k plus 2 games) or a Kindle paper white? My basic need was just books with dictionary function .I won't mind the added functionality of kindle fire of video watching and stuff. Is reading for long hour in kindle fire 2 a strain on eyes?I'll mostly be reading in home so sunlight readability is not a constraint. The Wolfy among us
Is the Fire 2 720p, or lesser than that? If it's not 720p don't get it. It's a strain on the eyes because you constantly start seeing pixels. I read on the ipad mini all the time, and i don't feel any strain on my eyes. egg man
It's 1024 x 600 (170 ppi) , which is higher than iPad mini 162 ppi pixel density. So I guess it should be ok?

Somehow, I don't know how, but no. I had a Fire, couldn't read comfortably on it. Then tested the Mini many times over before buying it.
