pinkmonster
@pinkmonster I have and I said Ned's brother Where did Ned's brother come from? I was saying Lyanna, who was Ned's sister and Robert's betrothed, ran away with Rheagar, had his baby but was dying due to it. And Snow is their child :|
gooner4life
Spoilers are for people who have read book 5 Well, the reason Snow has to be alive is because how else are we going to know what happens at the Wall! He is the major point of view character for the Wall and Beyond the north. Also, in Book 5, the other Targaryen boy comes in. There are 3 dragons and there need to be 3 riders. Snow, Dany, and that kid. Although i wonder what would happen to Ghost I love Jon Snow and Ghost too much. New POV character can always be introduced or maybe they will the focus away from wall to king's landing & daeneryes more till later in the book. And when they shift they focus back to the wall, maybe white walkers have taken it completely & suddenly their threat gets increased many fold? Many permutations & combinations which can happen. I also remember GRRM saying that in book 6 we will get to know more about the world of white walkers. Till now we know very little about them or their motives & considering how they protrayed them on the show, they don't seem to be like your average brainless zombie like characters. Their armies seem to have leaders who are commanding them etc. What are their motives? Why have they come back after all these years? We might get to know more about answers to these questions in next book imo.

He can't die *cries a bucket* Also, like i mentioned earlier, I have a feeling Brandon's role is going to be very important in the history of the White Walkers. There was a reason he has been taken to that weird place. I also feel that guy Tormund Giantsbane is also a good POV character for the wall. Nemo
pffft.. once you read one Dan Brown book a couple of times, you have read them all. No this is not some elitist hipster BS, I am very indiscriminate when it comes to any fiction, as long as it entertains. Brown's books follow the same pattern. Bobby swims some laps, fiddles with mickey mouse watch, some big thing goes down, he is called, does some quick connecting of dots, all hell breaks lose and he becomes a wanted fugitive, takes some old friend's help and at the end it is the same old friend who turns out to be the main culprit. It is the same in non Robert Langdon stories. Have read 3.5 out of the 5 books he has pumped. Havent read Digital fortress and left lost symbol midway cause it was going nowhere except boredom-ville. His best work imo has been Angels and Demons. It is just that it ends up being more of the same with his other works. One thing i do give him credit for is his research and mentioning of technology and religious debates. The way he connects them and reaches at a far fetched conclusion is kind of Hollywood but the authenticity of the information, insofar as one takes them as "This is what important intellectuals have debated and theorised and most is still inconclusive yet not unprovable", is pretty good. Literally nothing happened till now, I can understand that plot has to slow down after the third book, but still. Does it get better? Was attempting to reply via phone. Anyway, so, book 4 is a little boring but there are some important events that do take place. However, book 5 is much better.
