Ne0
Reading 'The Accidental Prime Minister' by Sanjaya Baru. Pretty engrossing. Especially, the diplomatic maneuvers and the turf battles that goes on in such high places is interesting to read  Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk Edited August 6, 2014 by Ne0

(A)Kira
Reading The Emperor of all Maladies. Even though I generally don't enjoy non-fiction, this has just trapped me.

KyoyaHibari
Try Nuromancer. It also has 2 sequels also, haven't read them. But they should be fine too.

Ne0
thanks for the suggestions , but I'm looking for something which is a little more thought provoking / social commentary woven into the narration , something like Orwell'ls 1984.... KyoyaHibari
I just thought of recommending 1984 but thought it was old. Try hg wells novels maybe. Used to read them a while ago, now I don't find them much interesting. Â Nuromancer isnt like that but its pretty good. A must read IMO. Â METRO and everything by Mr. Philips then. Â I have not read much of the latter's work but couple of his works have been adapted for screenplay in the form of Minority Report and A Scanner Darkly. Powerful stuff.
dylanjosh
Into book 2 of Wheel Of Time. Getting slightly irritated with how the PoV keeps switching within the chapters. :/ Is it like this in the other books too?
(A)Kira
Slaughterhouse-5, brilliant classic. Damn funny and an unconventional anti-war book to say the least. Also one of the best ending lines in any book I've read- Â Poo-tee-weet....
Walker
I'm halfway through "The Skinner" by Neal Asher. It's a mix of Sci-Fi and Fantasy(Space Opera??).
