North
Halfway through This Savage Song. Not particularly fond of VE Schwab's writing style, though I'm usually not finnicky about stuff like this. The book's pretty decent so far
Bird Bird Bird
Finished I am Legend. How the f**k did they get the movie so wrong ? Not just the ending, but the whole damn plot. The core principle of the novel fits it's name.
achilles
^yeah, always felt the title was weird for the movie till I got what the book was about.

Ne0
So I've been trying to get into reading books, and spending just 10-15 mins of time I lie in bed before sleeping to read. Started with a good ol' Perry mason thriller to get me interested in reading again. Also, thanks to Kindle I don't need the lights on(disturbing my better half). Let's see how long I stick to this. Important thing was to get rid of the late night Netflix and instead go to bed and read instead ! Edited July 29, 2020 by Ne0

Keep at it, and do update here 4 hours ago, Madmage said: When did words of radiance come out You okay bro? Words of Radiance is book 2, Oathbringer's been out for so long too. Rhythm of War, i.e. Book 4 is coming out this year. I thought you said that you'd read the SA books. IF you havent, get to it man. Its cheap on kindle, and its incredibly good. Easily my #1 book series right now, with Book 4 around the corner.

Important thing was to get rid of the late night Netflix and instead go to bed and read instead ! I have realized that I am more into non fiction than fiction (many a times non fiction is scarier ). So check out many books, don't suck yourself to a genre, keep exploring. 3 recent books I can recommend are: - Flash Crash by Liam Vaughan - Or how a Sardar in London crashed the US stock exchange from this parent's house. It's an amazing read about his genius, how the markets work etc. - Bottle of Lies by Katherine Eban - Possibly one of the best books on the theme of investigative journalism. Looks at the deceit behind generic drug industry, specially in India. Will change your whole outlook on how you buy drugs. Better than most fiction reads. - Commander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Trump by Rick Reilly - Exceptional entertaining and humorous. It defines Trump from the perspective of a golf player (he famously has many golfing properties, plays often, and uses them as a leverage to make money from other countries while being President). Cannot recommend this enough. I have zero interest in golf, and just kept on laughing throughout.

Does not read like a typical political drama. 2 hours ago, Chirag2001 said: Oooh will have to look into that first one, thanks! When it gets over, one can activate free trial again after a period of 2 months if I'm not wrong. Though once your sub expires you can't access your books I'm sure

Bam, got charged from 4th month. I was like, need to deactivate this now. Forgot, again, next month charged. Finally deactivated after 3 or so charges. Anyway I don't have Kindle Unlimited, I don't find the collection enticing for the books I usually read. I prefer reading books, and podcasts if I'm listening to stuff. Audible is pretty expensive here, haven't even used my free trial yet. I don't see the point of KU, they should club it with Prime. There is a Prime Reading section, so don't see why they have two of these

I haven't used my free trial in half a year now, will use it in September to read The Kingfountain Series Queen's Poisoner - Kingfountain Book 1 Though each book only costs 100 or so on kindle

This sh*t would top TV show ratings if it got an adaptation, no cap
