Don Karnage
Are you talking about the Farseer trilogy? Yes. @hack-a-shaq and afterrunner:i have heard so much about the fire & ice series - how are they? should i pick them up? where do i start? They're great, even though the many subplots are distracting as pointed out earlier the series overall is very good (I liked the Malazan series slightly better though). I disagree about the 4 book thing - Harry Potter is a prime example of how to write a series in 7 books. So are the Narnia tales. IMO the series goes downhill after the third book (Azkaban was my favorite).

Bulovski
^^ Sad - just saw it in morning news. I was totally WTF. He wrote some good books - Jurassic Park, Eaters of the Dead, Rising Sun, State of Fear, Disclosure
Death Stryke
^I simply loved Timeline and Sphere. BTW how are sam bourne's books? I've heard all those "biggest secrets of the church" he keeps yapping about are really useless trivia?

DeeMan
Finished Flyte and Physik - books 2 and 3 of Septimus Heap. Absolutely fantastic. @bulovski - a bit late in the day, but I finished Magyk, and really loved it. Its not deep stuff, but it sure does entertain. Thanks for the pointer. Just finished the John Rain series, the first couple were really good, the latter ones not so much. Definitely worth checking out, especially for fans of realistic (anti- tom clancy) action/espionage thrillers. / heads to buy Flyte and Physik, goggling like a pimply faced adolescent! Aftrunner
Finished Assasins apprentice yesterday. Ending was a bit hurried I felt but really enjoyed the book other wise. Begun Royal Assasin now. Also found out Robin Hobb is not a guy. I am not chauvinistic but I honestly didnt think there were any decent female fantasy writers. Even more surprised that its written from a POV of a boy quite realistically (use that term loosely).
Don Karnage
Finished the Dragonlance trilogy by Weis an Hickman. Nice books even though the authors have a penchant for skipping (or glossing over) some interesting segments.
