Bulovski
Finished Q&A (aka Slumdog Millionaire) - decent book. Very different from the movie. The book is a set of disjointed stories which comes together in the end very nicely. The movie is a linear narrative and the story is very different. Madmage
^^ I liked the book more. I read it around 3-4 years back when it just released. I liked the narrative of the book. As bul said, it all comes together in the end very nicely
My weight is 102 kgs
^^ ur girlfriend is going to be very disappointed at what excites youunfinished tales and silmarillion are absolute history books and don't even try to figure - just go with the flow. as it is those elvish and numenorean names are confusing - then jrr added all the valar and melkor's cronies (all the same names). it's worse than reading greek mythology and keeping track of the gods and titans. Madmage
murakami fan Murukami is a great writer. I started with this Hard boiled wonderland and was hooked on to him. Then i bought another 4 to 5 books of his and read them all in a stretch
Bulovski
Picked up reluctant fundamentalist - half way through. good read.
Bulovski
^^ finished - brilliant book. It's an absolute page turner for the 200 pages - I started it at breakfast and couldn't put it down. The philosophical differences are spot on and the author's internal struggle is masterfully portrayed. This is not a book given to jingoism or clever rhetoric. Replace Lahore / Pakistan with Delhi / India and the book applies to India as well. The narrative itself builds up brilliantly and reaches a crescendo in the last chapter perfectly - where the same technique seems hurried in White Tiger, here it is apt. Spend the 200 Rs and read this one - highly recommended.

Aftrunner
Arghh still stuck in Assassins trilogy by Robin Hobb. Cant give up. Don't wanna read it either. Damn!
Don Karnage
^ Leave it, its way overrated IMO. I read the first 2 book of the Sword of Shadows series, it was okay but still better than the Assassin trilogy.
Aftrunner
^ I cant. Once I start I always finish, I feel like I have to. Its like a compulsion. I'll probably end up speed reading it.
Don Karnage
^ Yeah, I skim read the last book in that series too, just to see how it finishes (and it disappointed there too). Now reading good old sci-fi - Flatlander by Larry Niven.
