Even I didn’t like a 20ish year old girl being the protagonist of TLOU2!! :fear: 

 

But that had more to do with the tone of the game.

Thin barely out of her teens girl taking on so many beasts of all nature.

 

But after Playing as Abbey I am a bit more comfortable.

 

 

The thing is that it should match the tone of the game…no matter who the protagonist is.

 

Tomb Raider,Horizon,Lost Legacy all fit in perfectly fine.

 

 

Having a misplaced cast just for the sake of appealing the woke audience is a bit irritating no doubt.

 

 

But yeah needless hate if it all fits well into the experience….is even more.

 

 

Anyway….it’s just the nature of the world now,you are either on one side or the other.

Being the sensible,logical,thinking person with no real sides is the thing of the past.

Be it anything!!

I totally get cringing about changing genders or sexual orientation of existing characters. But an original story with original set of characters should be allowed to have whatever gender/sexual orientation develoeprs want. I will never agree with the mentality that every character has to be a white male by default and any deviation from that needs to be justified. With that kind of thinking, everything will be 'woke'. 

 

I don't see how any GTA game can't have a female character, especislly if it continues to have multiple characters. I haven't seen anything in previous GTA games which was 'out of tone' for any female character. Just like how Abby's character could have been a male or a female and it shouldn't matter or makes a difference.

 

Also, I don't go into each game thread whining about how 95% of all main characters are white straight males because it doesn't make a difference. But this nonsense about 'woke', 'political', etc. In every game whoch happens to have some diversity is tiring.

It makes sense to learn English considering the world we live in, if you want to progress in a particular field/area/region. That doesn't equate or mandate for you to become an asslicker. Just like you dont need to be a homosexual to be fine and accepting of them.

Let's not lie that only whites do that. Every single race including us has committed killings and slavery both local or foreign in some form. This is human history.

 

Back to entertainment in general, I dont mind other genders/races. It all depends on how they are designed and written.

I am not saying they are the only ones doing it. I was just pointing out how white chistrian male is literally the most privilaged class of beings in human history. Lets not try to make them a martyr.

Spent some time looking at the leaked footage again. I know its pre alpha footage and call, but couldnt help but feel it all looked very boring and bland. Really hoping the final project is much better. I remember Vice City 2002 had such a great sense of style.
