I remember someone from R* saying that working with celebrities was such a PITA that they decided to work with only unknown actors after San Andreas.

GTA doesn’t need Hollywood anymore.

Hollywood drools over GTA.

Chris Penn and Sam L Jackson gave voices for officer Pulaski and Tempeny.

The final chase sequence was so good with Sam L cursing CJ.

Celebrity voices are definitely a plus.

it's a plus, but not a necessity at this point of time.

whoever does anything in GTA now, will become a celebrity outright, thats the power of GTA r.n. :puspa:

Mike York, who worked with Rockstar Games on titles like GTA 5 and RDR2 on his recent video:

"Most of the time, especially in the past, PlayStation was the big seller. PlayStation was the console to have, it sold more than any other console for the most part, everybody is playing on PlayStation."

"So what the developer would do is they would focus all their energy on making sure the PlayStation port and the PlayStation game worked really well. Then they would kind of port of to the Xbox--usually they'd do it at the same time. When I was working over on GTA 5, for instance, we were concentrating on the PS3 and the Xbox at the time. But we where mainly pushing the PS3 to the limit, because the PS3 was kind of better hardware at the time to use memory and different things."

"And so we put all our energy into that, optimizing it the best we can for that console. Then we kind of port that version to the Xbox simultaneously, we're working on both versions and testing them. The PC version is kind of the version that's in the background, that's running the two versions and building them."

"When you want to port the game...let's say you got the game looking really good on PlayStation, it's playing really good, it has good FPS, very few bugs. And it's ready, you release to public. Well now, you can start focusing on the PC port."

I don't think so. They'll release it on current ps5 too for sure

Lmao it’s already announced for the current PS5/XBSX/S.

I meant the “best place to play”.

There isn’t going to be a game which will be on either of the two systems alone just like PS4/Pro.

That is if all the current rumors are true and Pro is out by Holidays 2024 And if R* is shipping Pro playable version Day 1, PlayStation will definitely have exclusive marketing rights and this is a great opportunity for those “GTA VI plays best on PS” campaign..

Lets not forget GTA V neither supported Xbox One X or PS 4 Pro :giggle:

My wallet is ready.. Make it happen PlayStation!!

PS5pro will be the place to play GTAVI for many years after launch.

Without a shadow of a doubt.

Will move hardware like never before!!

Until the PC version is released, you mean.

I think the jump from PS5 to Pro will be so insignificant in this generation.

Last time they capitalised on HDR and 4K when the Pro launched.

This time they have nothing other than throwing TFLOPs in the marketing campaign.

GTAV was released on PS360 in 2013.

They updated it & charged full price for PS4/XB1 in 2014.

PS4pro showed up in 2017 & XBoneX in 2018.

Take-Two/Rockstar is known for not giving free upgrades.

So they didn’t update it until they could for PS5/XBS.

This time around GTAVI & PS5pro launched are aligned…..& ppl will crave for a 60fps option…..which evidently PS5 & SX can’t offer.

PS5pro will be all about 60fps gaming.

Demand for high Framerate in the console userbase is more than ever before & much more infact than Resolution or HDR!!

If they want to sell PS5 Pro, they should Demo every existing game in Quality/Fidelity mode at 60+ FPS (RT may be), then it will sell

- 60 fps is the most important. GTA combat and chase sequences are usually heavy with action but play very sluggish.

- Second, I would like highest fidelity possible, even if there is reso upscaling.

I think this is what they will be aiming for. 4k + 60 fps + highest fidelity looks quite difficult even on PS4Pro, unless it's a 800$ console.

DF is saying the trailer was 4K 30, but it actually looks 60.. the gameplay would be this quality on the current gen console and I think that’s pretty good if they can achieve that fidelity with 30 FPS..

It’s 4k 30fps with FSR/Upscaling.

Not Native.

Also it doesn’t look anywhere near 60fps as it’s 30fps locked.

PS5/SX won’t be able to run this at 60fps whatsoever….atleast not on a decent resolution.

That’s where PS5Pro comes into the picture.

Hardcore fans will sell their PS5 & buy PS5pro.

Ppl who have PS4 will grab in those PS5’s to play this game.

It’s going to be an event of the decade.

I wanted to replay GTAV campaign on PS4 & then PS5 but just couldn’t imagine playing a dated aiming system again.

It’s was either auto aim or a free aim with no assist & bad dead zones.

I hope the incorporate a modern shooting system for GTAVI more in line with modern TPS games.
