Speaking of Arthur Morgan, i started RDR2 on PC again after 4 years. Playing on Max with DLSS. Looks incredible.

GTA6 will most likely be ~1440p@30fps on PS5.

 

~1440p@60fps & 4k@30fps on PS5pro.

 

 

 

That is going to be the place to be if someone wants GTA6 at pristine quality on Day1.

I highly doubt the stuff shown in the teaser can manage to run at ~60fps with decent fidelity on PS5.

 

Heck games like FF16 & Spider-Man 2 push it to its very limits.

 

Only Naughty Dog & Santa Monica can squeeze out the last drop of juice from a system.

 

Coz unlike Rockstar they don’t have to worry about multiplatforms.

 

But still GTA5 on PS3 & RDR2 on PS4 pushed the hardwares to their limits.

Lmao GTA5 took 3 generations to where it is today.

& GTA6 is exactly that……3 generations ahead of GTA5 visuals.

 

Expecting both to have similar performance & resolution is pointless.

 

GTA5 wasn’t even a locked 30fps back on it’s first outing…..just hope that GTA6 is at the very least a locked 30fps at whatever base resolution.

Don't think it will be 60fps even on Pro otherwise R* wont be able to milk the eventual PS6 release( 60 fps being the major selling point like PS5 version of GTAV) and also RDR2 launched one year after the PS4 pro release and it didn't received any major support for Pro model.

RDR2 had full PS4pro & XBoneX support.

 

It was pushing both systems to their limits in terms of fidelity.

 

60fps was just not possible on last gen hardware as the specs were bound to the base consoles.

 

 

 

It’s only with PS5/SX launch that they could boost those games at 60fps

 

& Since this was the longest Crossgen era the console demographic was exposed to the 60fps performance for far too long & now they expect every game to be 60fps.

 

Games like FF16 push the system to its limit & I don’t think 60fps at 720p makes any sense. 
 

GTA6 is better off 30fps with decent fidelity that look like blurry mess at 60fps.

 

 

Also Rockstar will have a day1 version of GTA6 for PS5pro just like they had on RDR2 for PS4pro.

That shouldn’t be a concern.

 

It will be 60fps for sure & will easily handle it with low base resolution like ~1440p with a good upscale technology.

 

PS5pro will be the place to buy GTA6.

Oh I am sure it will have resolution bump and other graphic option will be bumped up too for pro and maybe even go for 4K but 60 FPS on console with the complex open world design such as varied NPCs activities and tons of cars on street etc will be quite difficult.

 

We know even Ray Tracing takes CPU resources so unless Sony has some tech like DLSS ( rumored) it won't be possible I think.

 

As per DF - Game uses RTGI and RT Reflections

 

Finger crossed that it will be good experience wherever someone plays it.

Truly this gen anything is possible as we have Spiderman 2 which handles so much crowd density and even use Ray tracing yet the game is seamless experience at 60fps so anything is possible. The way Spiderman games handles so quick traversal system without any hitch is some sort of black magic.

 

TBH R* are magician even GTA V on PS3 looks impossible but the RAGE engine and R* talented dev can do anything.

 

Leaked showed that the game has performance mode so I won't be surprised if we even get 60fps on base or pro since it's R* they set the standard for the whole industry to follow.

 

RDR2 is prime example the PS4/Xone setting are low equivalents of PC setting yet RDR2 is still one of the best looking console games.

Yeah for me too by the dumb YouTube Thumbnail which was just below the official trailer in the recommendation section( I was watching the trailer again).

 

I hope that is not the ending or that is the most cliche ending ever.
