That’s dead in Gaming.

Yes let those Pro owners have fun who bought it for 80k to play remaster of remakes at full price.

It’s just that GTA comes ones a generation.

That is even more shameless. Same game every generation.

It sells so no one can say anything. Look how people are going gaga over nothing :D

I don’t really understand , what did you guys expect or what are you actually complaining about!

Every game has a theme. It’s like Forza is racing game. COD is a battlefield shooter game et cetera. Similarly, the concept of GTA games usually revolves around thieves and robbers, trying to make a buck in an interactive world with a lot of pop culture references thrown in.

The highlight of every game is the way the world is created.  From GTA3 to GTA5, the improvement is mostly in the in the sandbox/world and the way the world interacts with the character and each iteration has made the world more and more interactive and closer to reality. The whole point of GTA games is neither the story or the characters, but the world itself.

As far as mature stuff in video games is concerned, I think cyberpunk already broke that barrier and made it mainstream ! For that matter, even previous GTA games had tons of profanity.  These are not for people under 18 in my opinion, but that’s for the game review boards to decide and for console manufacturers to take a call on how much they want to allow !!

A better & more in sync soundtrack with whatever is happening on the screen.

Rockstar is known for making great trailers that make you drool about the world.

Apart from the visuals & physics…the editing & screenplay of the trailer felt like Saints Row Reboot rather than GTA VI.

That’s a valid comment , I think they just string a bunch of cut scenes together, mostly highlighting multiple main characters.  Without gameplay it looks incoherent.

i was responding to ppl above who were saying it looks same as before or there’s no change in gta games, it couldn’t be farther from the truth.  If anything every GTA game has taken the open world design further. No game has even come close to the kind of open world that gta 5 has created (which was more than a decade ago) except RDR2.

This will too.

Just that this trailer was rushed.

Game itself obviously shows potential like none other.

Obviously the theme looks a lot similar to GTA V but yeah….I ain’t complaining about that.

So I was thinking...

Phil.jpg

Phill Cassidy as can be seen in the new Trailer (photo above) has both his arms intact. If you recall Phil lost his left arm back in GTA Vice City so looks like it grew/ regenerated back!!

Or maybe, it's Phil's son!

I mean, it's well known that GTA has always been a satire on America, so the theme will never change. However, due to the same over the top tone along with a similar visual style, it's impossible to not think of V while watching the trailers. It's almost as if you're watching a heavily modded/reskinned version of GTAV.

Only explanation I can think of for this decision is they're opting for the MCU route where all entries look the same because they take place in the same universe.

Well IV looked a lot different than 3 (& following games) even though they were based in same City.

The mood the presentation…the screenplay & character choices were a lot different.

Same goes for the transition from IV to V.

But VI feels a lot like V in terms of mood of the city & presentation.

Maybe because V’s Online component was so popular & only possible because of the wackiness of the Los Santos City.

They can’t afford to take risk & deviate from that Cash Cow Component’s Mood.

Gta 4 was not a successor to gta3.  Vc and sa which were successors to gta3 were all built on the same engine and looked similar.

gta4 looked different from these on account of new in house engine, but was criticised for using a very somber colour palette, maybe it fit in with the story and liberty, city in general. My assumption is that it was a new engine and rockstar reduced the colour palette for optimisation issues.

I think gta5 looked really good with vibrant colours and they have extended the same further here with neon lights and stuff!

Yes  a lot of people didn't like the overly serious mood of IV.. So they are sticking to what people like

??

They literally picked the song “Hot Together” by pointer sisters, a song about intense romance and chemistry.

Pretty sure that’s exactly what was going on in the trailer.
