Pushy
i guess tis game should not have DEMO, it's better without the DEMO IMHO... see not that i am against DEMO's, but few games really don't need DEMO's, like MGS4, and in future GOW3 Kratosssss..... Somebody
Your Semi-Regular PlayStation 3 Server Update -by Jeff Gerstmann So far we've got one announced patch and one stealth one. Let's start with the stealth because it's sneaky. And shadowy. Actually, it's neither. LittleBigPlanet has been updated to version 1.03 with a 20MB patch for 1.02 users. There's been no official word on any of the typical Sony info sources about what this patch does, though. Currently, the LBP servers are back online, but struggling. When I first fired it up 20 minutes ago, I was able to get into a couple of online levels and actually complete them, too. Haven't been able to connect to other human players, though. Someone on my friends list shot me an invite and it returned a message claiming that we were running the same build, so maybe there are still 1.02 players out there gumming up the works. There's a fine line between waiting out a rough launch and giving a game a free pass. Things haven't remained all peachy, though, as I'm currently getting the same "failed to load level" errors that I was getting the night the servers went up earlier this week. [uPDATE] It appears that the LBP servers were taken down again moments after this article was posted. I've been thinking of the best way to handle reviews of these games. If I had written a review of SOCOM last week, for example, I would have given it one star. If our score went to zero, I'd try to give it that. Why? Because it wasn't even a game. It was a $40 title screen. Rather than write a review that doesn't do anyone any good, I wrote an article or two about the status of the servers, figuring that would hopefully keep people from running out and buying the game before it gets fixed. LittleBigPlanet is sort of in the same boat, but since it has a single-player game, there's still something for you to do while it's broken. However, playing it offline isn't much fun at all. The single-player levels aren't its strength, and building levels without the ability to share them is pretty shallow. If you're not connecting your PS3 to the Internet, LBP is probably three or four stars. In its current state, with the servers getting all herky-jerky and rarely working, it's probably still a four-star game, just because the user levels are so cool. Toss in some functional multiplayer and all the sharing and rating and recommending stuff and I'm going to bet it'll get a full five stars by the time this is all ironed out. But my patience won't last forever. Expect a review of LittleBigPlanet by early next week at the absolute latest, and if the server situation hasn't been ironed out by then, then I guess you can expect the review to reflect that. As it stands, the rough launch is already a knock against both games. As for SOCOM, there are other, more-important games on our review schedule right now. Perhaps we'll get back to it later this year and figure out if it's any good or not.
Somebody
First LittleBigPlanet DLC Dated, Priced Now that you probably have LittleBigPlanet in hand, Sony is ready to let loose with the PlayStation Store fed microtransactions so that users can spice up their Sackboys with aftermarket outfits. Fortunately, the first two Sackboy outfits will be free — and available for a limited time only — hitting the North American PlayStation Store next Thursday, Nov. 6. Your first two Sackboy costumes will be the fashionably late Halloween Mask and Launch Spacesuit pictured above. Both will be free and reportedly disappear from the PlayStation Store on Nov. 19. Further down the line, expect Sackboy outfits to run you 99 cents American. Also expect to see "premium" costumes at twice the price. The Old Snake and Sephiroth Sackboys, for example, fall under the "premium" category. Surprised?

Somebody
LittleBigPlanet As A Shmup I knew LittleBigPlanet was versatile, but I didn't realize it was this versatile. Japanese PSN member RRR30000 has managed to recreate classic shoot-em up gameplay within the game, using a spaceship sticker and massive amounts of free time. It's truly an amazing accomplishment, recreating the entire first level from Gradius, complete with a boss fight at the end should you make it that far. The level name is Libidius.jp, and it's available for play as we speak. Go rate the hell out of this guy, he really deserves it.
Hot-Drake-Pixel
Wow, this is the longest custom level I have ever seen so far and very well made as well. Creator definitely needs a pat on his back.
Hot-Drake-Pixel
Image importing coming to LittleBigPlanet by Xmas We get it. You're creative. An artist. Using the PlayStation Eye to import your artwork into LittleBigPlanet just doesn't cut it. Thankfully it seems that Media Molecule has noticed your tears. Speaking at the recent Game City event in England, Alex Evans confirmed that proper image importing will be made available in a patch before Christmas. Which is next month, in case you're not keeping track. There's no indication of how the image importing will work, but we assume there'll be memory sticks and/or USB keys involved. Expect a size limit too. Photographs taken with the PS Eye are currently the biggest contributor to a level's file size. We look forward to this patch, the online Create Mode patch and any other goodies Media Molecule decide to send our way. http://www.ps3fanboy.com/2008/11/03/image-...planet-by-xmas/ --------------------------------------------- Until then Savita Bhabhi will have to wait. IshmaelIsBack
GameDaily: “Epic Fail” LBP Scores “Sucky” 9.0 Does anyone remember the GameDaily “Epic Fail: Games that will Probably Suck” list, because I sure as hell do. In fact, I probably went a little overboard in my response to their calling LittleBigPlanet a “glorified version of PowerPoint” with a future full of “crap content”. Well, I guess that old PowerPoint presentation finally won them over, because they gave the Media Molecule IP a 9.0 “Excellent” score. Here’s a snippet of what they had to say: “Until recently, we had trouble enjoying Sony’s ambitious PlayStation 3 video game, LittleBigPlanet. Its mascot, the adorable Sackboy, was shoved down our throats, and the level editor failed to thrill … Now our heads are full of grinning Sackboys, previously completed levels and our own designs. We’re hooked.” “Buy LittleBigPlanet or we’ll kick you in your Sackboy.” See, with a little less crystal ball gazing and a little more hands-on play time, even GameDaily was able to realize the “epic fail” error of their ways. I’m not sure threatening to kick people in their “Sackboy” will get them back in the good graces of MM, but it may be a good way to work off all that crow they must be eating right about now (:rofl2:). CarbonCore
LMFAO , I seriously cant stop laughing @ the genre the classified LBP under :roflroll2: LBP has no genre identity, except being a sidescroller. Btw this is not the first time Gamedaily contradicted themselves, they gave perfect 10 to GTA4 and then wrote this article few months after the release.
