Heaven Angel
New Tomb Raider Game Developed on Unreal Engine 5 Crystal Dynamics is using UE5 for Lara's next adventure. UE5 is going to be a traditional work engine for many games in future. https://www.ign.com/articles/new-tomb-raider-unreal-engine-5-crystal-dynamics

WhiteWolf
Lara rendered in UE5 Man Epic gonna make so much money now. Almost all AAA games using UE5 Edited April 6, 2022 by WhiteWolf

Almost all AAA games using UE5 Of course TR will look better in UE5 but will they bring sexy Lara back? Yes, and better. Having their own individual game engines significant increase development times and problems (for eg Slipspace and Frostbite engine) so best to have UE5. If so, it is the closest we can get to Dino Crisis. Dinosaurs FTW.

Dinosaurs FTW. I don't think they've confirmed anything about the raptors though (that artwork is just an homage to TR:A). They were only speaking about Lara's character model in it being close to what they're going for. Edited April 6, 2022 by STICK3Rboy
Horizon Days Dawn
Finally. The next tomb raider. I loved the original trilogy. The first and second games were just perfect. The third wasn't as good but still brilliant. Third was all about exploration but threw away some things in the process. So excited for this. Legend, though pretty good, was still a dumbed-down TR game. I'd rather they go back to the style of the originals (or Underworld even) and modernize it. But yeah, I don't think they will. It’s too bland for AAA game of today’s standards.

I'm not sure if the gameplay will hold up today if they just remaster them. A remake along these lines would probably be better. 52 minutes ago, AnK said: The original can’t really stand a chance in today’s day & age. It’s too bland for AAA game of today’s standards. I actually think Legend might be too bland. It was very straightforward and had puzzles that were less challenging than those in even some of the reboot games. It was good for its time and succeeded at its job, which was to revive the franchise after the AoD debacle. But its formula was built upon and made much better with Anniversary (which was actually a remake of TR1) and Underworld. And like I've said, I want them to modernize this formula for today's standards while retaining the core (no pun intended) of having elaborate puzzles and level design with minimal hand-holding. I really wouldn't mind the story and the narrative taking a back seat to this. Edited April 7, 2022 by STICK3Rboy
