Platinum done :D

This has been the most fun game I’ve played in a long while.
Challenging combat and some brilliant world design.

It’s a shame that most people aren’t playing this due to the reviews on performance.
But personally I’ve not run into anything major and can easily recommend it in its current state.

Finished it and loved it. Started slow but ended up being better than fallen order. 2nd half is a blast.

Game is so much fun with the right combination of platforming and action. I love platforming, make it more crazy in the sequel. And the platforming force tears man, old school gameplay nirvana. Loved those.

The story is awesome too, the final twist and the final location . It was like an adventure looking for something lost in time finally coming to an end. They told a  good story without sacrificing the gameplay.

Cal kestis is amazing and i think we have an idea where the story will go next.

9.1/10

Story spoiler

Spoiler

maybe cal turns to dark side and we play as kata in sequel.

Thoroughly enjoying this now. Such an amazing game... And it looks so, so good! Just reached the Koboh Swamps during the night. I'm at 43% overall competition. The gameplay is pretty tight (liking the variety of the new stances, move-sets) and the vast worlds add to the SW feel. They've really nailed it. Most people didn't like the backtracking in the previous game and they seemed to have heard that, and made this one as linear as this game could've been, with completely optional backtracking.

The latest patch has fixed things considerably for the Performance Mode. But on Quality Mode, the game is arguably the best looking game on PS5, at the moment.

I'm so torn between whether I should play in Quality Mode or Performance Mode for the rest of the game. I've switched during my playthrough, so far. Yes... I know, I know. Performance Mode is a rock-solid 60 FPS, but there's an obvious lack of detail in most stuff (textures, etc.). And Quality Mode just looks simply stellar, even in motion, but yeah, locked to 30 FPS, obviously. It would've been nice if they found a middle ground, like Insomniac and a few other devs this gen, to include a 40FPS Quality mode for people with 120Hz displays.

It's a shame that this game launched the way it did, several months before it was ready. It would've been right up there with other games I'm considering as my GOTY.
