Man, the Mercinaries so well done in this. Got S in all 3 with Leon only.. wasn't this easy for me in Village Mercenaries.. got the Hand Cannon but I like the broken butterfly better..  almost end game now dreading to finish it

I'm personally finding the game to be very replayable. Three playthroughs done and I'm already looking forward to a fourth one 

The different item and weapon unlocks (along with the achievements, of course) are really good incentives. Even planning what kind of playthrough to do next has been fun.

Yeah same here . I have completed Standard playthrough, Playthrough with no healing ( Assisted Ng+) , Almost finished Playthrough with Handguns & Knife/ Silent Stranger ( Assisted Ng+ ).

Will go for Professional (new game with Handcannon ) next. 

 

I actually tried to do No healing/Handgun &Knife/Silent Stranger - all in 1 Assisted NG+ playthrough. But Struggled badly in Chapter 8 at 1 point and hence focused on No healing playthrough in 1 save and Handgun/Knife on another save from that point

Yeah, I did the no-heal, no-merchant, knife and handgun-only run on Assisted and it was the toughest playthrough for me so far. And to think, I was actually feeling like I was John Wick initially 

Saddler especially was a bitch to take down with less than half my health remaining at that point.

I probably should've been more mindful about my health early on though and not underestimated the difficulty.

No tricks as such other than remembering enemy positions and taking them down before they shoot you :/

I did it on Hardcore, but I reckon it would be much easier to do on Assisted.

Yeah doing all those things together make it quite tough.  

Kudos for finishing it in 1 playthrough. 

I also should have been more mindful about my health but i thought health would recover to full (like in other Recent Re games) after reaching critical status . Was shocked to see it recover only slightly ? and carried on playing like that as much as I could before it became too much and i decided to split it from them on. Both the Playthroughs became way easier then on .

Yeah no tricks, just remember where they come from . Also aiming reticle is wider at start - wait for 1 sec for it to become narrower and then shoot it becomes much easier to hit enemies ( kinda like how Handcannon works) .

I was able to do on it standard after few reloads.

Would suggest unlocking Ashley's armor (which makes her invincible and unable to be carried away) and Leon's chicken hat (which reduces damage taken) prior to that.

But if you're confident and you know what you're getting into, then go for it

Yeah both those items would make things easier . 

I know what i m getting into but definitely not confident about it ?. 

It's like after 3 playthroughs - Hardcore might not feel challenging enough and Professional might be too much - Especially with 15 Saves limit for S+ . 

Planning to use Handcannon with Infinite ammo to makes things easier on Professional playthrough. Can do it from Chapter 2 itself via purchasing exclusive upgrade via PS store.

Yeah, that upgrade ticket will definitely make things easier.

I'm tempted to get it too, but trying to hold off

I’m using handcannon for my hardcore run with infinite ammo and I find it to be very inconsistent. Sometimes the shots don’t even register ☠️

I am not going for Professional S+ without the upgrade ticket especially w/o Chicken hat / Ashley Armor and 15 saves limit  - it will be too much for me ? .

I can combine all three in 1 Professional S+ playthrough. Or do Hardcore S+ and then Professional S+ after that . Second option would definitely make things way easier. But i can only play on weekend hence going for 1 playthrough with infinite ammo .

Yeah i faced that too when i tried it . Gotta wait for the Reticle to narrow down but yeah with the aggressive enemies waiting might result in getting hit which can be brutal on higher difficulties.

I'm opting for a Standard S+ and a Hardcore S+ to get all the achievements. Will probably do a relaxed Professional run later on without having to worry about achievements.

That is definitely the better/more manageable way to go about it .
