Then go for RE7 and then RE8 (Go RE8 only after 7 because it will have more impact that way. If you're into more horror elements though - go for RE2R. That has more horror compared to all 3. AnK Posted December 26, 2023 Report Share Posted December 26, 2023 To be honest one should go with the order of releases of these games. I left RE6 years ago so finished it recently. Now onto 7 & will Play 2 & 3 after this. No point playing 1 HD Remake anymore as it’s fairly dated design. Also I hope whenever they decide to Remake 5 they restructure it entirely around the original script & design where it was a survival horror centred around Chris & not a dude bro gears wonabe co-op. Just play the Leon Campaign properly & Chris & Jake’s campaign speedrun on very easy just for the story. Ada’s is not even worth that just YouTube the story. RE5 & RE6 were mostly dudebro/adventure campaigns to compete with Gears Of War & Uncharted…..the top two Third Person franchises of that era. Play RE 1 Remake - the Spence mansion is still the pinnacle of the series in level design and RE2R comes close to it though. RE2R - is the modern masterpiece and needs to be experienced with good audio headset. For me - RE Remake then -- RE2R---RE4R--RE7 and then RE8. RE8 is basically RE4 (same template) but in first person still A GOAT game. Play RE3R last(lowest priority) imo. RE7 is more geared towards horror and less action and can only be played in first person . RE8 is more towards action with lots of enemies and weapons (like RE4/5) . Although this game was also released as first person but since you have gold edition you can play it in third person too. Playing Re7 first is recommended first as RE8 is a direct sequel and has minor story elements linked.
