Indepth ANALysis with just a trailer ??? why don't they wait for the game to come out lol

Yeah, most of these are cinematics, which were prerendered in the original. The gameplay shots look drastically different, from what little we've seen.

- Better facial animations
- Cinematics being re-created shot for shot to stay true to the original
- Same character models as part 2
- 1440p/60fps standard like TLoU part 2
- Modern gameplay, improved controls, and expanded accessibility
- Effects, combat, and exploration enhancement

well worth the 5k asking price if you ask me :harhar:

This is just the cinematics comparison but even then 5K is wayyy too much. Would love to play this, but for maybe 1/3rd this price on sale or on PS Extra.

ND was ahead of its time with facial animations, but the PS3 age is showing. It looks almost stiff compared to right.

Yeah and the fact that it was pre-rendered so they weren't even held back by hw in them. But if I'm not wrong ND used to hand animate facial animations back then, the switched to full performance capture only from uc4.

Original looks superior. Expressions are far more obvious.

This is what I don't like about remakes.

Very few studios put equal amount of effort as they put in original. Almost always fall short of evoking same awe and wonder as original.

They are always treated as stop gap projects if done internally.

Yeah, right

Spoiler

In this particular scene, she informs her friends that she's gonna die in a few minutes.

Very obvious :)

Tess is a hardened character. Original portrays this beautifully.

In remake she just almost starts crying.

Original any day for me.
