It took like 20 secs to get all the players n.....THEY WAS NOOOO LAG!!!!! No Bullet lag whatsoever!!!!!!! N i was whooping every one's a*s for a change!!!!! Admit that you want to change. Admit that you have a problem. Step 2: Realize that this game IS a sequel. It isn't Gears 1 with new maps, characters and campaign. Realize that things ARE going to be different. Realize that you just might have to learn how to play again. Step 3: Understand that the shotgun isn't God's right hand anymore. Understand that you aren't unstoppable with it while you have active reload and host. Understand that the shotgun isn't a rifle anymore and that it has an effective range of about 15-20 feet. Good. You've completed the first three steps. You're well on your way to becoming a real Gears of War 2 player. Step 4: Learn that the Longshot isn't God's left arm and that the only benefit you get from active reload, is an instant reload. Learn that to actually be efficient with the sniper, you must get headshots. Learn that downing with an active reload and finishing off with a different weapon, won't fly in this game. Step 5: Believe in yourself. Believe that you aren't alone in this game. While it may take some time to find a game alone, don't neglect your friends list that may very well be full of eager people wanting to party up and shorten the time it takes to find a match. Believe in the party system. Step 6: Reflect back on Step 3 and remember what the shotgun is. A shotgun. Remember that it isn't a rifle. Remember that in blind fire, the spread is random, and putting tape on your TV doesn't give you a reticule for blind fire. Remember to aim. Congratulations, you're half way there. Soon you'll be a full fledged Gears of War 2 player and you'll be living it up. These next 6 steps, however, won't be easy. Step 7: Know that you have to vote on gametypes and maps now, and can't browse servers. Know that this is in place, so that the ranking system can gauge your skill to the best of its abilities. Know that you can always make a custom game, and send out invites. Step 8: Learn that the chainsaw has just as many counters as in the first game. Learn that although it might take a few bullets more than usual sometimes, that isn't the only counter. Learn that backpedaling and shooting is very effective against people with their chainsaw revved. Learn that since chainsaws have become rather rampant, maybe keeping one on you at all times is a smart idea. Adapt and change. That's how you survive. Step 9: Repeat Steps 3 and 8. Almost there. Only three steps left to the plateau of recovery and change. The plateau reserved only for Gears of War 2 players. Don't. Give. Up. Step 10: Make sure that you know how to use more than 1 or 2 weapons. Make sure that you stay diverse and therefore stay a valuable asset to your team. Make sure that you understand the concept of Stopping Power, and how effective focused fire can be on shotgun rushers trying to break their Gears 1 habits. Step 11: Repeat step 8. Step 12: For you last step, I want you to accept the previous 11 steps. Accept that these will give you a better way of life, and will give you an overall better playing experience. Accept that they will give you clarity. Peace of mind. Understanding. Learn these steps and memorize them. Recite them every night as a prayer your God, whoever it may be. Live by them. Die by them. Let these steps change you view on this game and allow you to have fun. Let these steps help you, help yourself. You've done it! You've completed the Gears of War 2 Twelve Step Program! Upon completion of this program, you may now enjoy this game to the fullest extent possible. Make sure to never forget these 12 steps, lest you wish to fall off the Centaur and back into the abyss of complaints and nothingness.
