RV1709 Posted July 30, 2009 Report Share Posted July 30, 2009 hey guys, need your help so ive had this game for over a week now and i still can't seem to find matches online.. the match making system says "searching for other players" and thats it. cod5, re5, geow1, sf4 all work fine.. but this game doesn't. ive tried horde, execution, warzone.. you name it but no luck. i don't have any nat/firewall issues with my connection.. i fixed those a long time ago is it just me or does anyone else face this problem? Dark_Knight Posted July 31, 2009 Report Share Posted July 31, 2009 Yup matchmaking sucks in Gears 2... It doesn't connect on Public because of the low ping... Just add the right players... There are some people who exclusively play gears all the time... You can add them and play private or you can even go public if everyone is willing to, but playing public really isn't as good as playing private... Javs Posted July 31, 2009 Report Share Posted July 31, 2009 +1 The first time I tried matchmaking I waited for about 2 - 3 min before I started cursing... gears matchmaking is garbage, its the biggest downfall for this game. matchmaking is more lag......it chooses random people to be host, even people with crappy connections. i dont know which idiot asked them to do it, even if they wanted to do it, they did a terrible job. gears1 lobbies was so fine, u could play the maps you want and the gametype u want and choose your best ping connection. Trust me don't waste your time online finding matches you will end up finding games more and playing only a few , and yes matchmaking in Gears 2 is EPIC fail . Just add a few indians and you will surely find more indians playing this game online on regular basis .
