You should be able to verify the watch you receive by registering it.

And I would suggest Casio or Timex.

Okay, then most likely I will go with the Casio Enticer. But what about the pricing? Ethos has one for 2700/- but Amazon has two other models (also black) for 2200/-

Also I like one of the variants on Amazon, and its sold by Cloudtail which is reliable so I think Ill do that. Perhaps wait for sale pricing to get a cashback on CC/DC.

Casio Enticer Black (Amazon.in)

Also if I could spend more money on this, something around 5-6k lets say, any recommendations?

But still going for the black and sexy look, but too not filled with dials and numbers and whatnot

HMT Kohinoor. Mechanical hand winding instead of that Quartz nonsense. 2500 Rs brand spanking new.

That looks like a very uncle watch in my humble opinion.

Quartz is cheap, robust, accurate and zero hassle.

I won't have to jerk off with it if I don't wear it for two days.

Apart from the cool/historical/antique factor, mech watches have zero practical advantage over quartz.

Any semi decent quartz watch will run 1.5 to 2 years before needing a battery change. Mine does, and it cost me like 2k when I bought it 5 years back.

Full disclosure: I have ordered a mech watch myself, just so I can experience owning one.

Casio Edifice range will be quite decent. And Fossil too, if you are not bothered with 'lineage'.

O.o

If you dont care about the craftsmanship or the "cool/historical/antique" factor why not just get an Apple watch or a fitness band? No battery change and at least you get phone notifications.

I am not even knocking Apple watch etc. Aren't you at that point just buying a watch for the dial?

Also 95% of Fossil is overpriced as f**k for what it is. Dont buy that.

They look cool though.

Subjective but yeah. They are still overpriced though for what is inside.

To be fair, their after sales service is pretty decent. Which you might need considering their quality. :P

OKAY. Will consider the Edifice @quixote_1989

Also, I don't think you can buy a good watch from Fossil at around 5K or less @Aftrunner

Plus I'm picky about the black dial.  I went to a Skagen store today (MOI, Noida), they had a buy 1 get 1 thing running, you pay for the higher priced one. Any of you familiar with the brand?

I think the Casio Enticer/Edifice is my best bet with a stringent budget.

Shipped via Singapore post today. The wait begins.

Interestingly enough, the Singpost id is trackable in India Post tracker also.

I mean, they probably update the status once a week, but still.

That's how international shipping works, your India post id will be trackable in Singapore if you send it there

Of course it is. Did you buy a watch from Creationwatches?

Yep, with registered airmail. Pulled the trigger after checking out your post on it.
