Rift is available today for 7.5 (10 for Collector Edition). Anybody playing it of late?

i stopped playing it a month ago but tyler accidentally resubbed so i guess he's continuing to play it.

get it for 7.5$ anyway, it's a good game and you'll get your money's worth in the first month itself.

I have steam installed on my C drive..Is there any way to install steam games in any other drive other than where steam is present??

I've done this, worked perfectly. Repping me for this won't hurt :D .

yeah..i already did that..but wat i wanted to know was whether i could install games on another drive and link it to the main steam folder since i have a 160 GB HD presently and there are 4 partitions of approx 35 GB each and its difficult to maintain all games in one drive

Haven't tried this but :

1. Exit Steam

2. Lets say your folder is C:\Steam.

3. Move the entire "steamapps" folder to E:\ (or the location where you want to keep the games). Now you have a folder E:\steamapps

4. Now in C:\Steam, create a shortcut to E:\steamapps and rename that shortcut as "steamapps"

5. Restart Steam. If all goes well, it should simply work as before, only now your game data will be in E:\steamapps

6. In case it doesn't work (IT WILL :) ), just delete the shortcut and move the "steamapps" folder back from where you moved it.

I created a dummy shortcut just to give the example (pic below)

But remember that you need to have ALL games at one location ONLY. I'm pretty sure you can't have some games in one drive and some in another. You should repartition the drives to have at least one 35+35=70 GB partition or else just buy a new big HDD (500GB is for 2k or less nowadays).

You know you can always buy the game and download it later.

Metro 2033 is 5 bucks today. What's the size of this game, anyone knows?

am waiting for the inevitable further price drop on Warhammer 40k DoWII (will happen over the weekend, i guess). it's 33% off now

steam says the install size is less than 7gb, so i'd estimate the actual download size is roughly 5gb or so.
