thebanik=-snipingyoudown-=
Hi Guyz, Need some help again, I am getting a hang of the xbox360 now, but ofcourse will like to enrich my experience by going online, store my game saves etc. but for some reason the memory update program is not accepting my serial no. and console id, saying it has determined that my unit has enough memory or something, which certainly is not the case. What to do? Any forum or support line where I can put my voice????
RAPT0R
it wouldn't say so if you really din't have 1.. i think you've inserted a memory unit into your console earlier.. for sure..
MarketTantrik
Is your console first hand or second hand? Did it come with a hard disk?
thebanik=-snipingyoudown-=
Well if you've gone online with your 360 any time, you won't be valid for a free memory card/20$ HDD. hmmm....i dont think so i have, coz i am on hathway and it needs a software login before browsing, and i was not able to figure how should I go about it. thebanik=-snipingyoudown-=
Read the xbox 360 manual yes? Is your console bought brand new or used? Does it have a silver trim on the disc drive? nopes didnt read the manual, will certainly do that.....Silver trim? hmmmm...not sure, its 360core and new.... thebanik=-snipingyoudown-=
That's weird. So let me get this straight, you punched in your 360 serial number for a free memory card or a cheap HDD and you got an error saying that your console has sufficient memory to go online? Sounds like someone at the store/MS has used your console for some online fun. hmmm...yes i punched in my serial number and console id on the US site by mistake, it accepted it, but then realised you can give only US addresses, then I went back and selected country as India and then enter my console id and s/n no. and it gives the error message that you specified. was trying to buy the 20$ HDD. TRMNTR
The exact same thing happened with my friend... But that was because he attached his friend's HDD to his 360 and went online with it!
rahul
Did you make sure you entered the serial id and the console id in the respective boxes?? Couple of times i interchanged them and it gave same error...

lastAvenger
Even mine didn't qualify for the free memory card program even when i had not connected the console to a power source. From what research i did, it seems these core consoles in M$'s db is marked as Arcade.
