dullu Posted December 4, 2009 Report Share Posted December 4, 2009 Started playing the game and before I knew it it sucked 4 hours out of my time... on a weeknight. MASSIVE improvement over the first. It's also a dream come true (or a nightmare depending on how you look at it) for an OCD-afflicted gamer like me. +1....i played it for 2 continuous weeknights....i had to attend a call and i simply muted the game and attended it... But the game is damn impressive....i am done with 3 assassinations and they are all different so far...Not to mention quite interesting too only if i could escape my heavy workload and finish it in a marathon session Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Shantz Posted December 5, 2009 Report Share Posted December 5, 2009 started playing today.. some thoughts: pluses: - Really nice visuals - Better than AC1 so far in terms of repetition and also the distance to be travelled for different quests is much lesser - Liked the voice overs minuses: - slightly more loading times than I would have liked - too short sequences - glitch haven (in the 3-4 hours that i played, i fell into an invisible river at the bottom of the city THRICE somehow and had to abort memory and restart misssion. The character just moves jerkily many times) - Confusing in the beginning. (I mean why show and mark all those girlie groups and others and even give hints for them if you can't use them till much later. I wouldnt say it's worth playing till the end, but atleast you need to know the character references, and basically the crux of what the story is about. Also, now you can quit directly to the menu and the game starts from exactly where you were when you resume playing. Unlike that whole exit from Animus first bullshit from the first game. Yesterday played it for 8 hrs, and all I did was collect feathers, did side-quests and played very few story missions. The quests for finding seals is absolutely brilliant, the platforming there has some purpose and the level design is top-notch. Damn I really wanna play those side-quests come with black edition. Cut-scenes could have been a little better though, in door ones appear dark. Good thing is they have gotten rid of that dialoguebaazi, one has to suffer after the assassinations. The cut-scene QTEs are quite useless, didn't like that thing. Another thing which I found annoying is that italian transcript is also shown along with the english subtitles, what is the need of it I don't understand. There isn't much Italian talk in the game only at the start it is there, maybe to make an impression on the player. wait till you get to Venice, it's one of the best things in the game.
