Yes some characters (i.e Yasuke, Oda Nobunaga) are real though the game is obviously not historically accurate. It has become normal to disrespect/insult white culture/history/Christianity (like attacking the pope in AC2) so these devs thought the same for Japan. The issue is taking right amount of creative liberty, so your lore remains in balance between fiction and fact and make the whole thing fascinating. You made a fictional Black samurai - DEI decision - somewhat accepted. You showed real emperors and their kins - accepted. Now you are making that Black dude fking the empress with royal lineage that created 7 emperors, and while that Black dude sleeps around with other dudes, as if tapping the most royalest :pushy: wasn't enough for you. But no, they had to make it controversial and now it is still affecting their numbers. Steam charts are worse than Vielguard and everyone said those aren't indicators of games failure during Vielguard, but game still failed. AC is a much bigger brand than Vielguard so sales will be much higher but not the highest as they would have wanted, especially when they are struggling and stock is falling since months. Just because RW trolls think any of its 'issues' are valid enough to boycott it doesnst make any of those things important or relevant or any less funny to me. There are way more important things in this world which impact actual living beings on a daily life to worry about such non-issues in a game. Similar trolls were whining because we had a female lead in the new Ghosts game. Anyone can pat yourself on the back as much as they want about being a backward right wing troll, I couldn't care less.
