DinJo
Is there a price drop coming for Broadband connections considering 3G
Death Stryke
Airtel 3G only worthwhile plan is the flexishield plan I am using. After the inital rental of s 675 for 1.25gb, it costs Rs 100 per GB of data.

Nikushimi
i pay 1350rs /month.. using BSNL 1350 UnLimited 4mbps upto 20GB, afterwards 512kbps I hear that you can bypass the FUP by not ending your current session, ie not turning off your modem and PC. Is that true? Also what download speeds do you get?
phreak
I hear that you can bypass the FUP by not ending your current session, ie not turning off your modem and PC. Is that true? Also what download speeds do you get? i get around 200-500kbps starting.. after 20gb , 60-70kbps .. however i use 20gb in the very first day.. anybody will thats why for bsnl users, bypass FUP trick FTW It works but for very few bsnl users. Actually, in PPPoE mode your IP address is assigned automatically with a lease time of 24 hours(unless a shorter period is set) after 24 hours your IP address lease time expires and your modem takes a new lease, so, even if you do not turn off modem/restart modem/even the line is that much stable not to drop the connection, your session breaks. So Yep It does work, however, not much long.
Nikushimi
Can't you configure the modem to set the lease time to infinity? I'm currently on a 1 mbps plan from Reliance with no FUP. I'm planning to move to BSNL with the exact same plan you're using. But if there's no way to bypass the FUP I'd rather stay with Reliance. I guess the BSNl IP trick would only work with static IP's. Edited February 13, 2011 by Catalyst

In MumbaI,MTNL has a cap for upload speed around 256 kbps unless u are on the 4 mbps unlimited plan(Which costs 8k).Change ur ISP.Local cablewallahs FTW.
