just spoke with a reliance guy for the 2mbps plan... he said for browsing and email the speed will be 2mbps but for downloading it will be 2000\8. I dont get it he said for downloading the speed will be 250kbps :thumbdown:

Thats the way it works bro.

2 mbps means it's 2 Mega bits per second, not bytes.

and when he means it will 256 kbps for download, he means 256 kilo bytes per second. It's right :good:

EDIT: 1 byte is 8 bits.

BC My plan is updated to 4 mbps today 11 AM but uTorrent remote shows that torrent is download at 125 kbps only. It means I will have to log out of reliance session and connect again OR those f**kers have messed up something. Cant do anything till I reach home :wallbash:

I can check only torrent client from office, nothing else. I am guessing and hoping that as my laptop is in my old session of 1 mbps, new speed is not reflecting. Once I logout and log in again, the new speed should reflect. Else reliance has f**ked something up :threatenlumber:

U won't get anything more than 256 KBps if you surf or download

2Mbps = 2 Mega bits per second = 256KBps = 256 Kilo bytes per second

1 byte = 8 bits
