Chaztin
@Spin Why your upload speed is only 0.7mbps compared to Chaztin and The_Rock? You have the same plan as them right? TBVH, the speed shown is vague. I am not really sure why is it showing that way. Actual upload speed is only of about .5 to .8 mbps.

Chaztin
Airtel could have been the best BB in India had it been keeping larger FUP cap. Here is my Reliance BB result. I am on 2 mbps ultd line. People complain a lot about their service, but I am " VERY " happy with it. Even their Customer Care Support has been good, received the bill on time and there has been no downtime.** UL speed is always on higher side, don't know why but ya when on torrents theres always a balance between both UL/DL speeds. **Reliance really didn't pay me for saying this. Even on 2 mbps line back in 2010 upload speeds were ridiculously high.

Heaven Angel
Chaztin,How much bandwidth you consume monthly? Hope they don't introduce FUP in couple months after gaining so many subscribers. Edited October 28, 2012 by Heaven Angel

piper
@Spin and others on Reliance broadband : is it good in general. And these Thunder Plans, is there any hidden FUP? Or true unlimited. Like Thunder 1099 : do we get good speed regularly? And ping? Also, is it like regular DSL as in, can the modem/router do the dialing for you, so that it can be shared among multiple devices (I'll use my Wifi router). saanil
Hi Guys, A noob post below: I am currently using MTNL broadband connection – don’t remember which plan. Although the net browsing speeds are satisfactory I was wondering whether it is enough for console gaming online? I will check which plan I have and what speeds does it offer. Just wanted to know whether are there any MTNL users here who use it for console gaming? Suppose if I want to change my connection, what should I go (for Mumbai) – Any offers from Airtel/Reliance which are quite popular here? What parameters should we see before deciding which one is better? Many people here are posting screenshots of speeds that they are getting. How do I judge which one is better? I can see download/upload speeds. What exactly is ping? Is a higher number good or a lower one? Any suggestions/advice/fundae appreciated! Also how much data do you guys download in a month assuming usage as - everyday browsing of FB/Gmail and your usual gaming. Just wanted to get an idea how much data is used for normal activities.
