My server has been showing lahore since i got reliance installed and today i am getting a ping of more than 190ms .. Would switching to a new router help sort these issues ? Help ! Call reliance CC and ask them if they can provide a different server address... I use sify bb and i generally connect to pune which gives low ping but when servers are down i then connect to mumbai by changing their server address:(default gateway) 1.Go to Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center 2.and then click on "change adapter settings" go to properties of "Local area connection" 3.Then DOUBLE click on TCP/IPV4 a page will open then like this: Uploaded with ImageShack.us Change the default gateway address with the new one and u are good to go...This works for me and maybe can work for u too... They say we can't provide an alternate server address They say ping keeps changing based on server .. They are true the server automatically has switched to Mohali but pings are still ~ 180 I guess Reliance service isn't that great in punjab if some1 wants to play a game online .. Ping keeps changing due to server thats true but it also depends when u are connected to a nearby server i guess...my sify technician is very helpful so whenever there is high ping in my server he changes it to pune or mumbai or vice versa...that helps me a lot.. cc won't help don't u have a technician of reliance visiting your home for maintanance during fault???he can help u..cc reps know sh*t.. spindoctor Posted December 18, 2012 Report Share Posted December 18, 2012 (edited) i'm looking to get a 3g connection for a tablet. now this connection will only be for backup when my wifi goes down due to a power failure or i'm out for a while. i don't want to end up paying 600-1000 bucks a month for a connection that will almost never get used, so what should i do? i was thinking of just getting another prepaid phone connection, charging it up with 500 bucks, activating a Rs. ~100 per month 3g plan on it and then only recharging it 2-3 times a year. i was wondering if anyone could suggest any better alternatives? maybe a tablet specific plan which would work out better? i don't need the calling facility anyway. i could always tether my phone to the tablet of course but that drains the battery pretty fast and my phone battery isn't doing too well these days anyway. Big Boss Posted January 5, 2013 Report Share Posted January 5, 2013 Getting horrible speeds and pings on Reliance since 2 days. Connection becomes good at 1-2 AM at night: Raised a complaint today.
