Man In The Box
Some problem for sure with your connection. Reliance has been giving me excellent upload speed since day one. Keep raising complaints about ping time. Just lie that connection is not working and ask CC to raise complaint. When engineer comes, show him ping times. If he says it is alright, ask him to write it on a paper that these pings are acceptable and sign under it. Tell him that you are going to consumer forum with that data. He will chicken out and fix the issue. The engineer here is good and he accepted problem is there and working on it. It was fixed in the morning and now he has said they will fix it by tomorrow. Still I am raising complaints over complaints stating connection is not working because CC and Network team online are pathetic idiots who wont take down your complaint for slow speeds/pings etc. EDIT: Number is 180030007777

GameAnalyzer
Bsnl has launched a new website for music and movies. They called me 2days ago. Rental plans are so cheap but i still said I'm not interested. Also , I think they said one month subscription is free. It's good for those who likes watching old movies. :bigyellowgrin:/>/> Edit : Website bsnl.hungama.com Edited January 6, 2013 by xGameAnalyzeRx
Big Boss
That is how it works in India. Unless someone gets scared for the job, no one does it seriously.
_Krypton_
^^ that remedy is super awesome.. Thx a bunch Also when the engineer comes , what upload speed and ping is acceptable on a 4Mbps connection ?
Heaven Angel
^^It should be around 512KBps. Go to your router page and check what speed have they assigned for you... anything between 384 ~ 640KBps you're good. Big Boss
^It is kBps and not kbps. If you are getting 512 or something kbps on reliance speed meter or speedtest, then not good at all. You should get 3800-4200 on Reliance speedometer. Use Reliance speedometer in front of engineer, not other 3rd party sites, else he wont accept. The link is on Reliance login page. harjas
Dont go for wireless. Pings will always be high. have 2 laptops at home so need a wireless connection ......jab ps3 pe mp khelna hota hai tho mtnl ke wifi ke modem se Ethernet cable ko ps3 se connect kardeta hu......same will go with reliance ka wifi if possible ....thats why asking ppl who have reliance ka wireless connection ki do they get good pings
Big Boss
Difference is MTNL is giving wired connection and then you are using router to connect wifi. That is fine. With Reliance WIFI (called wimax IIRC), the ping through wire itself will be high. Better go with wired Reliance and use router as you are doing now. GameAnalyzer
Harjas, Get a wired connection and buy a router. No need to opt for a wireless connection unless you want it desperately or want to say good bye to online gaming.

Big Boss
Still download and upload speed is damn good... But why ping high? :scratchchin:/> Because of the user load. It was 15 ms when I came home in the evening. And look at it now. I was kicked out of a BF3 MP session because of ping
