Please try after some time." i use the the myairtel android app to check the usage .....but just wanted to know y am i getting that error? I had called up Airtel guys to complain about the lack of speed some days back. Got a call back explaining the fibre optic cable cut issue. And was told to append @airtelbroadband.in to the username in the modem settings in order to get better speed Upto this point, I had never received any alerts regarding FUP, never experienced speed throttling, even Smartbytes page would throw an error. The moment I made the change to username, I started getting usage reminders, etc. I hit 80% of FUP within 3 days of the current billing cycle. I rolled back the change to the username, and stopped getting reminders. Smartbytes page has been stuck at that percentage for a while now. In detailed stats it shows that I have crossed FUP, but the reminder I get on SMS/email doesn't reflect that. pinkmonster Posted May 13, 2013 Report Share Posted May 13, 2013 I have MTNL 1 mbps plan as well. Its unlimited download I think. Planning on upgrading to atleast 4 mbps but goddamn those FUP limits. pinkmonster Posted May 13, 2013 Report Share Posted May 13, 2013 sorry for the delay ...i was just posting a reply yesterday at night but then suddenly power went off And jab aaye tab mai so gya tha as school tha mera anyways i get 1 mbps download speed and 512 kbps speed overall i would give 3/5 to mtnl 2/5 for there customer service as goverment hai agar kuch problem aaye internet mai and usse fix karwana hai tho baar baar 2-3 din call karna parega tabhi koi na koi ayyega and tabhi 80% chance hai ki fix hojayega 20% chance hai ki na hoye 4/5 for pings i could have given 5 but pings kabi kabar gandi jati hai and tab mujhe modem ko 2-4 mins ke liye off karna parta hai fir jaake pings wapis achi aati hai 3/5 for reliabilty like most of the times it stable but kabi kabar piche se disconnection hote hai ....only sometimes now hope this helps !! Yeah the user id number format is same as what you've mentioned ,even then i'm unable to open the smartbytes page.......ah well no probs iirc i saw the usage was stuck at 59.7gb on 10th may evening 4pm(my billing cycle is 11th april-11th may according to that app) ........so i played a bit of BF3 and downloaded a few epsiodes of some tv series before 12am just to check if the FUP kicks in.........it was still going on smoothly at 2mbps .........after 12am the new billing cycle started imo......so i guess the FUP didnt happen ^And you can login in to the Airtel portal to check usage (same statistics as app). yea that i know,i tried it as soon as i got the connection,navigating to check the usage is a bit confusing in that site for me ....... the app is more convenient for me Edited May 13, 2013 by kold_war Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
