This is you broadband "youbroadband.in"

You would need to check the feasibility and fiber backbone to get this plan. Luckily in my area it is both. And AFAIK, no per hour FUP.

Ohh sorry, got confused by that MBs/Hours field.

I kinda move frequently and always prefer local ISP over branded ISP . It took me some time to hunt one nearby. But eventually I succeeded every time to find one decent ISP . I remember to use below connection while I was at Thane,Mumbai almost 2 years ago .It was the best connection I had in India with such a small price tag.

Looks like prices didn't changed much in 2 years

Finally settled on MTS Blaze for personal use. 999rs Dongle. 999 per month rent and 40GB data limit. Anyone moving to Bangalore, do not get flat in bannerghatta/JP nagar/Jayanagar area if you download a lot. Airtel would make you cry literally. Areas like Indiranagar, Cox Town, Fraser Town and nearyby are awesome. You get ACT and You broadband there with big FUPs at affordable prices.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have had this Tata Broadband plan for 5 yrs now. Its 1799 pre-paid at Rs. 9 per hour at 2.5 Mbps, but with add on of 600 bucks i get 4.5 Mbps and no charge btw 9 pm and 9 AM (the time i usually use my net). I usually am able to get 5-8 weeks off of this.

Its been working out great for me, everybody I speak to says that this is a great plan. But I was wondering is there better plan out there?

I'm using Wish Net. The Wish Power Super pack offers 1MBPS and upto 8MBPS from 1am to 9am. Peering is upto 35MBPS. Have to pay 1,347/- monthly.

Was using Airtel earlier, got rid of it a year back.

How's Alliance, in Kolkata ?

Haven't used Alliance personally but have heard from users that they have faced incessant connection problems, specially during the monsoon seasons. I had a choice between Meghbela Broadband Services and Wishnet, I went with Wishnet.
