yes bsnl does have unlimited plans. Initially depending upon your plan, the speed can go upto 4mbps or 8mbps till the specified bandwidth usage, after that the speed drops to 512kbps. Now with the new plan in effect, the new low speed will be 2mbps after finishing your desired quota.

Post fup plan will remain 512kbps afaik

Only with those users who have 512kb or 1mb will be upgraded to 2mb till their fup.If no fup exists then it will be 1gb@2mbps

Anybody is using Reliance wireline currently ?

I want to switch to reliance from airtel because of their thunder plan(4mbps unlimited). Is it a good move considering that I am currently getting 2mbps for 10gb and after that 512kbps.

Yes go for it. They were quite good in Pune after initial issues for 6 months.

They not only differ from state to state, but within states as well. They vary according to different regions. At least in Andhra Pradesh.

Nice mate, that plan would be really good if they had it here as well...So dumb BSNL decisions...Being in a metropolitan and this plan...

Ya'know, even after crossing your FUP limit, you can still extend your speed back to normal and FUP up to 20 GB for Rs. 500 only.

I was just redirected to this page and extended my speed to the above mentioned plan. It's not really that bad you know.

BSNL_DataOne_Broadband_FUP_Limit_Cross.p

These were the available options:

2 GB for Rs. 100

5 GB for Rs. 200

10 GB for Rs. 300

20 GB for Rs. 500

See if this option is available in your area.

Hmm. Why? For us, it's the only option since we can't get better than these.

Yeah I know...We just got used to using 512kbps after the FUP..To our surprise I got FUP of 16 gb previous month, not sure it will be the same this month as well, but if it is then that would be more than enough as of now.,..
