dharmin
Guys thinking about changing to Airtel broadband and looking to opt the 999 pack .Its 40GB upto 16 Mbps based on locality.. It's 1250 permonth after 99 for unlimited calls and tax.. Has anyone used this ,how is this plan and how is the speed and is there downtime for Airtel connection?? Speed is stable. There isn't any down time and their service is really good. Also if you pay 100 bucks more you'll get 60GB of data instead of 40. maverickR2D2
Has anyone tried out spectranet ( in and around east Delhi) ? How is it? The plan seems enticing. Getting 20 Mbps unlimited at 1299 a month. Any better alternative? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
dante77
20 mbps unlimited with no fup at 1299 per month? Seems like a lie. Sent from my Lenovo A6000 using Tapatalk

Big Boss
I am using Spectranet 50 Mbps plan since 6-7 months now. No complaints. They give slow speed issue time to time. I raise complaint and it gets resolved in a day. Probably once in 2 months. When I say slow speed, its 12-20 Mbps. Mostly its 45+ Mbps. Steam downloads are at 6-7 MBps, psn and xbl speeds are good too. Public torrents are throttled so no luck there.

maverickR2D2
hmm the spectranet plan seems really lucrative. I'm getting only 8Mbps with 20Gb FUP for the same price in airtel. On top of that 8Mbps is the max speed that is provided in my region by Airtel. Any other alternatives which might possibly be better than spectranet? Downloaded about 13.5 TB data in first 6 months!! Now not using that much except youtube HD. The novelty of fast speed wears off after few months. Big Boss
No idea. I don't use public torrents. Delhi user complained about public torrent throttling.
newuxtreme
Anyone have any clue of what the best gaming ISP would be in and around Sarita Vihar New Delhi? I have used airtel for like 4-6 years including for gaming and surprisingly my 2/.5 connection was more than good enough for the best of games on the PS3. Ever since the PS4 has been out though all the games have always lagged. I upgraded to an airtel 8/.7 connection and I still only get mediocre bars, always yellow in Destiny etc etc. It's stable and consistent as f**k but the speed is slow overall it seems, SPECIFICALLY the upload speed. I also tried using Nextra and still use it but it is ridiculously inconsistent and unstable as f**k. It gives 16/16 and upto 20/20 but the most retarded of videos can buffer on this connection for no reason whatsoever. Every game has some ridicuous red bar lag unless you hit the lottery and have a green bar for like 1-3 games at some weird hour of the night. My friends around in Delhi are speaking of Airtel 4g now and hopefully I should be able to test it out in a day or two, but I always prefer a wired stable, DMZ connection over a wireless one. Anyone have any suggestions? Another random thought that comes to mind is that my modem for airtel is like 4-6 years old as well. Would I benefit in any way by getting another modem? The speed tests are always a consistent 8/.7 though. However every so often my modem resets for no good reason.
Walker
This is BSNL  aside from the fact that this sh*t is expensive as hell and service is way beyond idiotic, the pricing is mind boggling Edited January 14, 2016 by Walker
HotSonix
^^ they have been doing that for many years No wonder why they are in deep sh*t now
